had 2 8th gen si's. They are 4 door Motocycles. great car, so much to fun to rev. i recommend it as a 2nd car. clutch is fairly firm, fairly small car, small door openings, AC blows ok not the strongest, and firm ride.

Love the 8th gen i have Almost a year with my 09 FG2 bought it 100% stock with 94K miles on it, right now the car is Turbo with all the goodies but stock internals only spring and retainers and type S oil pump. Its on base map right now but Soon we will be tuning it and running it on dyno to see what HP it have.

Bought my Fiji blue 07 fg2 back in 2017. I’ve only driven it about 2k miles since the start of the pandemic. Kind of lost interest in it but slowly starting to get back into it. Also finally found an oem complete HFP kit in excellent condition after years of searching. Great fun car.

Definitely worth it I got a blue fa5 back in 2021 with 142k miles for 10k it was bone stock the only thing I had to do was brakes and tires and reg fluid changes other than that bulletproof!!!! I traded it back in Aug with 215k miles for a 15 si sedan one thing I do miss is the vtec crossover but if you can find a clean low mileage one for a good price yes but they are hard to find clean

@ItsJayyB55 unless your going for max power it's not worth swapping heads as long as u get a k24a2 or jdm k24a with rbb head like I have. I was gonna put my k20z3 head on my k24a and after researching it there's not much gains there for the amount of work needs done. And the k24a rips bone stock in the 8th gen. Just make shore it has the rbb head when u buy the motor.

With all respect the 6th Gen in 2000 had some of the most mods you could do and parts were easy to find. Now, I would disagree to say that, as I experienced alot of challenges finding OEM factory parts. When I think of an Si, I immediately think about the Coupe and not hatcback or even a 4 door.

@@ItsJayyB55 Nah the paint has some defects and imperfections and can use a paint job, NO RUST tho which is really nice, the interior is well kept, I do want to add a factory spoiler on it since it didn’t come with one, and the si badges on the back and front or faded, that’s about it, really can’t complain 🤷♂️

I love these Civics and would love to have one, but they are definitely not a large man's car. Ironically, I fit better in my '91 and '00 Si's that I used to own. The 4th gen Civics will always be my favorite. My earliest memories are of my dad's red '89 DX hatchback and my mom's charcoal '91 LX sedan. Those were the only Hondas they ever owned, even though my dad worked for Honda for like 30 years and, even as a retiree, is entitled to significant discounts at Honda dealerships. I recently learned that his family members are entitled to that discount too, and the mf never shared that information with us... 😐

I think the only issues with 8th gens are the clutch ans starters had the same issues had to go with a stage 2 exedy

Drove it lowered with snow tires through 6 New England winters. I used to travel for a company building grocery stores. I wanted something fun traveling through the mountains of Maine, NH, and Vermont. Car has been started in -38 degree weather after sitting all night in Caribou, Maine, and Watertown, NY, without a block heater.

The 8th lacks in torque . U gotta turbo it or supercharge to make it get up quick . I prefer a 9th idc about all that 8th was the last real true blah blah blah . The 9th feels great stock .

@@white9th193 To be fair that’s both the 8th and 9th Gen. To each it’s own, The 8th Gen has “real” VTEC and revs higher but lacks torque. The 9th Gen has more torque cause it’s a 2.4 vs a 2.0 but it doesn’t have real VTEC, revs less, and has that trash head design with the down pipe. I’ve almost bought a 9th Gen until I drove it.
