I bought one a month ago, I’ve slid it a few times on “accident” already! Super fun cars. I used to have a Lexus IS250, it was a fun car but it had no potential and it was automatic with an open differential. The 3v feels very powerful to me coming from that Lexus, and the manual gives me so much more control than I had over the Lexus. I’ve got an exhaust on the Mustang already and tint. Stoked to get it to the point I want it to be, considering making a few videos on it as well.

@@LooseFab For sure brother. I made the mistake with my old Lexus of trying to make it all drifty, sliding it everywhere.. I never wrecked it but after years of just treating it as a tool to beat on, it wasn’t in tip top shape anymore and I lost a sense of pride in it.. I don’t want to repeat that with this car. Hopefully in 20 years this thing will be sitting in my (future) shop, waiting for my (future) son to learn to drive a manual .. I want to buy a truck as well so I’m not driving this thing around all day. People can say what they want about S197’s being a dime a dozen, so long as they keep up that mentality they won’t be a dime a dozen much longer… They’re almost old enough to be classics. I think a well taken care of and tastefully street modded car is the way to go. Man what do u to afford all the stuff? Wanna start building my car to but don’t know where to start
@LooseFab4 ай бұрын
Doing a build this quick was a first for me. I actually had to sell a different project (my ae86) which was a sad day, but it allowed me to ball out on a lot of parts all at once. I'd make a list of all the parts you want for your car, and maybe break it up into 'phases'. might be easier to decide what to buy and when!

I love my 3v but even with a tune, cams, cold air intake, long tubes, and straight pipe, you will still be under 350whp lol coming from a guy with a 600whp 3v

Don't get me wrong it's nice car coming from a Mustang guy, but you really couldn't have picked a worse car for drifting purposes. Weight distribution on those s197's is going to make that a nightmare. Sure, you can make it spiral out of control easilly just like every mustang not counting the SN97. That's a mustang you'd want for drifting.
@LooseFab2 ай бұрын
@@EchoFoEvah thanks for taking the time to comment! You should watch through the build series, I have had the car to the track a few times now and I absolutely love the way it drives. Feels very controllable and easy to drive compared to some other cars I've drifted!

@LooseFab6 ай бұрын
@@issei383 no I think it will probably make 1 million horsepower
@andrestnt6 ай бұрын
Issei383 is right 😅. Won't see 350whp. But the chassis is pretty light for the physical size, under 3500 lbs. 320whp is doable and easy. It's when trying to reach the 400whp range that it falls flat. We have various builds on youtube explaining this and more. Don't be discouraged. We are talking about great power for a drift daily.
@aaroncieslukowski75326 ай бұрын
I'm glad someone else addressed it. While these cars make super fun power they however will never make anywhere near 350 with factory drive train and factory tune, I have one with full system exhaust from pypes with FPR Intake and howards rattler cams. I'd be lucky if I was making 315 lol great build however will be subbing to watch more bro 🫡
