My name is Lucy, I'm a Dutchwoman here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.
On this channel you'll find a decade's worth of hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies, tv shows or history and have regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!
I really enjoy diving into history to find out how women went about their beauty and dressing rituals in days past. Vintage and history-themed videos are my joy, as is my latest passion: sewing and costuming.
You'll find a bit of lifestyle content here as well, ranging from cozy chats over a cup of tea (my beloved Tea Time videos) to personal vlogs and slow & conscious living videos.
Enjoy browsing!

I hope you can get back into doing art for you! We don't need to see it--you share so much of your life already, and art can be such a private and vulnerable thing. I hope it brings you joy and comfort!

A heat gun also helps. You might be able to use a hair dryer on hot to do it I'm not sure.

You know what would be great for organizing your kitchen spices would be to get some labels and put them on the caps of your spices. That way when you open your drawer, you know exactly which spice is which instead of pulling each container out to find the one you’re looking for.

I actually don’t recommend having a mirror opposite to your bed. I used to have one there as well and let me tell you, since putting it somewhere else the quality of my sleep has improved SO much. And when I told that to friends it turns out it’s not that untypical. I mean, non of my business really haha but I just thought I say something :) Having mirrors in the inside of the closet doors was a nice compromise for me personally :] Anyways, the bedroom looks magical!! So beautiful

Everything is coming together so beautifully - you have impeccable taste! I particularly love the colour palette in the bedroom. The greens are absolutely lush and that wallpaper?? oh my gosh. Gorgeous. It feels strange because I have obviously never met you, but I am just so happy for you and your husband! You seem like such a sweet person and you deserve every happiness. ☺️

The Sewing Room of my dreams 😍 Also, from my experience: If you have the mirror door facing your bed, you won't be able to look at yourself / your outfit because there is not enough distance between you and the mirror. You will always have to open the door at look at yourself from the side.

Such lovely progress. Well done. I'd be tempted to move the work desk away from the wall. Sit with your back to the wall, facing into the room. That way you get to look out the window when you're sitting and working at your sewing machine? - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi

A light sage green (similiar to the leaves of your wallpaper or a bit lighter) would look cute in the studio space, especially cuz you want the light to reflect as much as possible in a art/work space. Love the bedroom btw that wall colour is stunning and the wall lamp, love it.

Things are coming along quite nicely. I LOVE the color in your bedroom. It's so cozy looking. If you are looking for advice on a color for your studio space, I would suggest a light, neutral color. Especially if you are going to be painting in there. The color of your walls can mess with your color matching abilities. I'm a jewelry maker and I had lovely mint green walls in my old workspace. I found that the color combos that looked good in that room did not look good outside that room.

Do they have command strips there? You might have an easier time, and no damage to the walls.
@KatjeKat86
@KatjeKat86 2 жыл бұрын
I had an apartment where you weren't allowed to stick holes in the walls but honestly using command strips I felt like did more damage. As I was there for quite a long time, I lived there for 10 years. About half of them popped off the walls over time taking the paint with them. Mind you this with a 5th floor apartment, no air conditioning. They always flew off the walls during the summer when everything got disgustingly hot. If I had it to do over again I would have just used nails and sparkled them in before the inspection, before I left. They are great for temporary things though, like if you're not sure where you want a painting you can put it up with one of those for a while and decide if it's where you want it to be and adjusted without damaging your walls.
