What is Mr. Bealy doing well simply contemplating of course that's a critical part of the process cause it's a bit more advantageous to think once think twice or even ten times to only have to redo it anytime, looks good Sir thanks for sharing this wonderful endeavor with us all Geoff.

Wonderful progress, Geoff. I really liked the brick timelapse. Seeing those courses rise was fun to watch. I love the brick color and I do like the rough grout. All in all, great progress. Thoughts, prayers, & gentle hugs to James' daughter and to Tater, Michael, & Jeff. All of that is so scary. And you continue to take it easy, please. You don't want to have surgery again! Thanks for sharing, Geoff.

@@jbonegw i’d rather have the look I want and moisture doesn’t matter in this build. That’s why it’s way superior to wood framing.

Happy to hear that some of the guys are ok, form the auto wreck, and they will all be ok, other than being a bit sore..OH MY, Hope Jame's daughter is ok, after being attacked by Pit/Boxer mix. Nice job your bricklayer are doing, just wondering what ties the brickwork to the house ??
@BealyGood2 сағат бұрын
Standard metal brick ties. Those webs that are in the block. You can screw right to those.
@maxmacdonald71742 сағат бұрын
That toy Kymron is actually useful. I like the brick but that really must ad to cost of building. Sad that the little one got attacked by a dog.
@BealyGood2 сағат бұрын
It’s actually not that bad. You have to do some sort of exterior cladding no matter what you’re building with. I built houses with metal siding that is already powder coated. That’s actually more expensive than doing the brick.
@stanSniderСағат бұрын
Do you have to worry about water getting behind the brick and freezing pushing the brick out?
@BealyGood51 минут бұрын
@@stanSnider no. It’s no different than working up a wood framed house. Plus, there will be weep poles. Once we do final grade.

You should name your castle Fort Bealy, I apologize if I spelled it wrong. I wonder how bulletproof your castle really is? I'm guessing 6" ICF concrete with 3 5/8" inch brick and something like 1/2" drywall interior. Not sure if it would stop a 50 caliber bullet, but it would put up a good fight. It would make an interesting video if you partnered with a guntuber like Kentucky Ballistics, Brandon Herrera, Garand Thumb, etc.. They could make a few 2 foot by 2 foot samples of your castle and shoot them with different calibers starting with the smallest and ending with a 50 Cal., to find out how bullet proof your castle will be.
@BealyGood52 минут бұрын
@@mr.shannon6137 that’s an interesting idea 🤔

I can appreciate the extra expense, but it seems the right choice to place the brick all the way around the structure/house and retaining wall and not just the front facade. Way to "Man Up."
