Moooooooooooooooooooooo! We had cows for a few years. They were sweet if not the brightest things. We loved feeding them the grass from the freshly mowed lawn when we mowed. They would come a running to get that bright green stuff compared to the regular pasture.

Don’t forget Geoff, Cows are 24/7/365, even more so than the animals you have there! You sound like it will be well planned, so have fun!! Watch the girls though until you are sure of the cows you get. They are incredibly strong. We had 2 injuries over the years at the ranch/feedlot from bulls, but dozens from cows. The meekest cow can be an absolute nightmare once she has a calf & vice-versa. It’s rare they are that extreme, just a heads up. I’m sure you already know that though. Just thinking of the kiddos!! 😊 You just have a dream farm in the making there Good Sir! All the best, Eh!

Just a comment, i've been in pump rooms with decking and concrete over them. I realized that that Decking either is aluminized or galvanized. I would talk to someone to see if you could coat it with something or provide good ventilation or a good dehumidifier as there might possibly be alot of humidity in there. I have seen paint peel and that decking rust thru. Of course that will take a long time. I have a feeling however this will be your forever home. Had to replace entire ductwork system in an enclosed indoor pool for a customer once with stainless ductwork because it rusted thru from humidity.

Am surprised Chris didn't suggest that you get some turkeys! He just loved when he had them, just ask him.

My suggestion is that you consider miniature Jersey cows. They are expensive but in high demand for lifestyle blocks that are too small to support a regular cow, or that the land owners do not want the milk yield from a full sized cow. The sale of any progeny would be assured.
