A buddy of mine has a tackle company and their bait making station was a blocked off section in their garage. They had it set up to where you started the process in one spot and basically went clock wise around the room finishing off the lure. They had a band saw, then router, a sander, drill press , lead pot, etc.. it was super organized and made the process easy and enjoyable. In one evening we cut out and shaped and weighted 200 musky lure bodies that were ready for sealing and then paint. All because of the simplicity of the setup. Given these were all the same lure design. Excited to see what else you do in this sweet garage.

Compliments on your carpentry, your pretty handy 👍👍. 1 thing u deciding to set your 2x4s on your work bench. The top of your bench, working area u set your 2xs the right direction, face out, holds weight better. Your storage under your work top, setting your 2xs flat, edge out, they won't hold the weight, they will sag. U should of installed the same way as your top, face out 👍

just an idea... hang the spools horizontally above the peg board. It won't take up counter space and it will be higher if and when you want to reline a reel while sitting in the boat.

For the yak and pelican boat. You can put a pulley system and make a custom rig to store them on the back wall. My pops and I did that in his barn for the personal pontoons and they worked perfectly and created more floor space

@pmm4223 жыл бұрын
In the Back you need to construct a loft, under the loft for the ceiling it needs to be a rod rack that covers the entire ceiling. On the floor carpet held in place by couches and a super cool glass top shadowbox coffee table with carved fish displayed in a natural seen (river bottom or spawning bed). Of course the wall needs to be a bragging board completed with mounted fish and photos. Up in the loft is where you store all the crap that you can't stand to part with but which you know deep down in your heart you will never use again. Oh big screen TV and a beer cooler probably a good choice too.
@JerseyJoel3 жыл бұрын
Garage looks awesome 👌. Tons of room - maybe put a Bass mount above the pegboard and shelves that would look sick! 👊 🎣
@mikeschlomann24713 жыл бұрын
Maybe also put some stainless on the top of the work bench. This way if you need to put boat parts or anything up there and they are full of oil or grease, the top of the bench doesn’t get ruined. A vice is a great addition too.

Loft in Texas? hot IMO but what do I know. I say build a bar in the finished area with the m mounts etc. in the back make/install a kayak/raft lift and storage rack on rails in place of a loft. so you can winch up your small boats and slide them above the bass boat. on rails. . Do your tackle station back there with a minibar and flat screens. Install small neon lights down the length of the tackle counter and run some electricity and boxes down it. put some mounted adjustable fans every 5 feet or so to keep the air moving , if you're going big

FOR YOUR BAIT MAKING STATION YOU SHOULD PUT IT IN THE BACK OF THE GARAGE AND PUT IN A VENT FOR WHEN YOU MELT YOUR PLASTICS. YOU HAVE THE ELECTRIC YOU NEED TO CONNECT TO ARLEADY THERE WITH THE OUTLET THAT YOU FOUND IN THE BACK. I WOULD ALSO MAKE A PULLY SYSTEM, BIG SHELF, FROM THE CEILING TO BE ABLE TO RAISE AND LOWER YOUR BIGGER STUFF, AKA ICE FISHING SLED, THAT WAY ITS NOT ON THE FLOOR TAKING UP SPACE TO WALK AROUND WITH. AND YOU COULD EVEN MAKE IT WORK OFF OF LIKE A ATV WINCH SO ITS NOT HARD TO RAISE AND LOWER.
