@@justincoats7236 because it takes the fun out of building your own…. The cost would be astronomical, & all other manufacturers would have to do the same…. Yamaha as a brand have always produced a very capable bike. It’s up to the owners to make it how they want it. 👍🏼. Also what Roland’s made will be similar to a Factory spec Motor. 👌🏼

Nice setup! Back when i ran a longrod kit on my 95 yz 250 we had to run a stock piston but longer rod, cyl spacer and 2 base gaskets. It was great in that bike.

£610 Suter Mx Line clutch with diaphragm spring. @13.40 If you listen carefully there is some slight slippage(ha,ha) around the word 'instigates' about the clutch basket used, The Suter comes supplied with inner hub, but one has to use the stock outer basket? Is the carb a Lectron? Brake mean effective pressure is what he's trying to say @15.08

Nice Bike. Would love to see you and Roland compare a good old carburetor to the new school Lectron and Smart Carbs. Would be interesting to see how they affect the powerband and which one is the best. I bet Roland's carb tuning could beat anything else on the market but would be cool to see a track and dyno comparison.

Those carbs aren’t good for high level racers. No one ride with those in EMX125 or schoolboys1 in the US. Many people were putting Keihin carbs on KTM’s too as it’s better and easier to jet than Mikuni

I'm building my lambretta jet 200cc at the minute it's a 225cc kit being ported and stroked from a 58ml crank to a 62ml crank should b close on a 250cc once finished, different kettle of fish but I'm still on a 2stroke 😜👍

no as it doesn't affect the gears in that way. My personal bike is a 2011 Y125 which had the gears "super polished" when it was new and it is still going strong.

Mugen Honda had a works bike you could buy many, many moons ago. It was a sub-200lb 125 with a full works Mugen engine, loaded with titanium with what was then works suspension. It was actually too light and exotic to run in US AMA Pro races because of the production rule- it was too light. It was also much more powerful than a stock CR. Porting secrets are no secret to me- Ive been removing metal and reshaping ports for yesrs too..

i would really love to watch a full detailed documentary with an explanation of all available tuning options for 2 stroke bikes. Really loved to see how he turned this bike into a race machine. I have a 50ccm derbi senda myself and cranked it from stock (3PS) up to 25 PS with less than 500$ of parts. Tuning really is a great option especially for low ccm bikes. 🔥

It isn’t bored out, nor is the stroke any different, it’s a longer rod to change the rod-ratio, and a shorter piston to retain the correct piston deck height.

The worlds best 125 is actually a bored out 125. Like a 134cc or even better, a 150cc. A ported and milled carb works too. Basically, its a cheater bike
