I love the trampoline deck addition. Could you share your dimensions of the trampoline deck and the offset deck for the stairs to come down to it. That is an absolute must add on to DIY Tyler’s plans.
@GreenGuitarGuy3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Carter! The trampoline deck is 8' 3" x 6' 6". The upper just out for the stairs is 26.5" x 27" (stair side). The stairs are 22" wide. Hope that helps!

Nice work! Looking to do a version of DIY Tyler’s build myself. Did you use gravel for the ground cover? How deep is it? What did you use for the border to keep the gravel in place?
@GreenGuitarGuy3 жыл бұрын
Hey scott, I used pea Stone for the ground cover with landscape fabric underneath. The pea stone works really well as the kids don't seem to get scraped up when they fall in it like they would with a crushed stone or wood chips, and it doesn't degrade so I won't have to redo it in a year. I looked at using rubber mulch but it is expensive and a teacher friend mentioned that kids get super dirty in it. It is at least two or three inches deep, deeper in some spots to make up for the unevenness of the ground. I used landscape edging around the outside to keep the pea Stone in. Hope this helps, thank you for the comment!

Hey Triple G Wow! Such a wonderful thing! Did you build it to keep the kids away from your Lego?

🤣 ha ha... I did need something to draw them out of the house

GreenGuitarGuy ...that’s funny, it’s the exact reason my daughter in Germany built a similar play tower. These last 13 weeks of lockdown have really pushed her to her limits. Her three play nicely, then explode into boredom. The Grundeschule reopened last week but only for half of the pupils at a time and then not all year groups! These are crazy times!

Do you have plans for this?

Hey Jessica, I don't have plans exactly, there's a link in the description to plans that I purchased from DIY Tyler. Modifications like the trampoline deck were just things I added on on my own. Hope this helps

I'm building this, and my wife has expressed concern that if the kids fall on the monkey bars they can land on the swings and get hurt. Do you have any thoughts on that?
@GreenGuitarGuy Жыл бұрын
So we have had this for a couple years now and my kids use the monkey bars quite often and it has not been an issue. They just can't use it while someone is swinging. I have had them drop off the monkey bars halfway out but they've never fallen on a swing. Hope this helps.
