@2:50 The hole in the top of the Shanghai World Financial Centre Building is to allow for wind to travel through the building. If the building didn't have the gap in the top of the building the force of the wind pushing against the building at that height, and against that much surface area, would mean that the building would sway and lean aggressively in the direction of the wind. 🤓 The dragon idea does sound really cool though!

The hole in the building is to reduce wind resistance. It originally was supposed to be a circle to reference the Chinese mythical depiction of the sky as a circle. It was changed to the trapezoid shape after backlash from the Chinese people because it closely resembled the Japanese Rising sun
