As soon as I saw them dumping loads in piles I said "they need a gravel company that knows how to drive and drop gravel". Looks like they figured out how to drop crush and run on the move for the last load ! Event looks like a blast!

It's now owned by the event. (two years now). currently no plans for permanent structures. But that may change someday.

I think y'all should make a plaque with the names of the work crews that build that year and place it at the entrance of the Wasteland so that people will recognize them and thank them. Just a thought.

It's relatively cheap for an event like this. A lot of costs like insurance, fuel, generators, and professional security/medical teams add up for sure!

@@TheApocalypsePost awesome. i live right at the top of hwy 18 in big bear, i got tech that can smooth out the road and have supplies like a geny and good welder to help with what ever i can, team of 4. ex mil Shane hammer here . i been locked up in my shop for over 4 months due to the weather up here, we just want to "do things" even build custom stuff for vehicles .

Dude! Go convince your parents to help you get a Learner's Permit, so that you can drive with an adult in the passenger seat. Study that driving manual as often as you can so that you can pass the test to get your license. And remember, you can always buy an old riding mower to modify into a little wasteland vehicle. Put a trailer hitch on it and pull a small yard work trailer behind as your parts scrounger.

What looks bad? The work? It was a tough year on a new property, and the crew worked thier asses off that year, but ask any of them and they'll tell you it was the best week of thier lives.....and it helped make all the years that followed so much easier :)
