Another great looking kit Jason!! It's also great to see you and your son team up to produce these kits. Your experience, artistry and skills, combined with his CAD skills makes for a great combination. The "father/son" time is pretty damn great too. I wish I could get my boys interested to that level. My oldest is into model trains (he also works for the Union Pacific), but he prefers to run the trains on his local club layout, versus actually building anything... Kudos on another fine looking kit... Hope you sell a bunch of them!

Love your videos Jason and using the scrap wood to support the door was a nice tip for my scratch builds. Regarding the trim under the roof, a "trick" I usually do is to attach the roof first then glueing the trim under the overhang is easy and requires no sanding or fitting because it can be pushed flush up against the roof card stock overhang for a tight and clean fit. Just a thought and could be included in instructions for future releases. Thanks for your interesting content!
@JasonJensenTrains
@JasonJensenTrains Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Scott, I really appreciate it!!! I usually glue the trim on after the roof is on but I thought I would show a different technique. Some people may like to do it that way. Something different. Thanks for watching!!!!

Thanks again for the great build and tips. Here is a tip for 123 blocks - when the thin factory coat of oil wears off with use that rust starts to corrode the surface. Before the rust starts, just wipe them down and give them a quick coat of dullcote or other clear coat rather than oiling them and it will seal them up to prevent more rust and you won't risk getting oil rubbing off on your work. I wouldn't do this for blocks actually used for machining but for modelling purposes it works fine.

After the card stock is added on the roof, could cut the trim that goes under the card stock and then glue in place. Butt it to the underside(flat)on the wall and against the card stock.

Hello sir, very nice job ! But you made a mistake with the doors on the right of the bottle cage: on of them is upsidedown...the small part is up on the left door, and down on the right one😂.

Question. You went through all the trouble of putting in a window in the smaller part of the building, then you covered it up with the propane tank box. Why?
@JasonJensenTrains

Great question Benjamin! I gave people the option of putting the tank box any place next to the building, even on the back side if you wanted. Thanks for watching!!!
@kargandarr
@kargandarr Жыл бұрын
If I could make one suggestion, why have that window in the wall that is hidden behind the tank rack. The suggestion is that if it is not sen then why use the laser cutter to make that opening and not make it a blank wall..
@JasonJensenTrains

I wanted to give people the option of putting the tank rack any place they wanted, even on the back or side of the structure. I wish I would have mentioned that in the video. Maybe I will talk about that in a upcoming video. Thanks for watching!!!

When you use Craft Paints on your videos; you always just give the bottle a couple of shakes. Do you ever use a battery operated paint stirrer prior to the videos.

No, I think shaking them by hand is good enough but I go through paint pretty fast so none of it is old. If the paint is old you may want to stir it. Thanks for watching!!!
