Welcome to Building in Weird Ways! Today, Sham tries to build without using any full blocks! ...and discovers exterior was much harder than the interior.
Give me feedback in the comments so I can improve my videos! ...please?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't use any Nintendo music this video. Every video prior to this has used Nintendo music, but the legality is a bit dubious as they haven't allowed use of their music, but they haven't disallowed it either. So, it's a legal grey area, and it'd be completely reasonable for them to turn around and start disallowing the use of their music. So, I'm trying to use exclusively royalty free music and music from Minecraft or its spin-offs (as Mojang allows the use of Minecraft's music for Minecraft-related videos). As a result, the music may feel like it has a different vibe to past videos, or may feel like it doesn't perfectly suit the vibe in certain sections of the video. But, as I continue to make content, this should become less and less of an issue, as I'll develop a selection of tracks I use frequently and that work for the purposes I need.

Now build a house, with out any blocks. Use boats, armor stands, item frames, and maybe even mobs, such as the shulker. It also must function like a house.

I'm going to write this down in my ideas list (and write your name down so even if I can't find the comment I can credit you), and if I can figure out a way to make a decent build like this - or make an entertaining video - I'll do it. It's such as absurd and funny idea, so if I can do it, I really want to. Thankyou! :D

your video quality in the past few uploads has looked kinda crunchy IDK if it's something with compression but I watch at max quality and it's very blurry

I just did some playing around with my recording settings and it seems I've fixed the issue. So next video shouldn't be grainy or "crunchy" as you described. Honestly, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

For a second I thought I was watching a big youtuber but you only have 3k subs!? You deserve a lot more to say the least. I love the commentary. Only bad thing about this video is quality, you can get away with simply upscaling (just resolution) the video to 1440p (won't make the file bigger btw), using higher bitrate and enabling 60fps Otherwise the video is great 😃 Hope you reach your goals soon

I guess I didn't entirely specify, but it isn't a full block it's just an upside down stair facing towards the wall. Because the fridge is on the other side of it, you don't see that hole.

I will say, the movement of the roof building timelapse is definitely unique but a lil disorienting and hard to follow, might just be a me thing tho. Aside from that, 10/10 vid 😎 cool concept I haven’t seen before, which is especially rare with Minecraft content these days. And the advice you gave while picking the slab material for the roof was genuinely very impactful, especially as someone who’s still slowly but surely becoming confident in my Minecraft building abilities and getting better at it after many years of struggling. Apparently I’ve even watched and liked a couple of your vids before so definitely gonna sub :) Edit: also this part made me laugh 6:49 good editing lol
@Shamwarizim_

I wouldn't say cool new concepts are, "especially rare," nowadays with Minecraft content, but I would say they are probably less common. Though, it's to be expected with such a saturated market. Also, it makes me so genuinely happy to hear that the advice in the slab part was impactful, I thought maybe it could help someone so I was adamant to leave it in, and I'm glad I did. Also also, the part at 6:49 I found funny when editing, so I just played it to an extreme with the power of video editing, lol.

@@Shamwarizim_ yea I guess the rarity of things like that is just up to what your recommended decides to show you. Such a vast area of KZbin that it’s impossible to really know everything going on within it. Like I’m sure there’s plenty of awesome unique videos out there I would love but just haven’t been shown. Usually things are at least somewhat derivative but this video doesn’t seem that way at all, like normally Minecraft challenges are centered around survival gameplay rather than building. Especially glad you left the advice in because in this era of Minecraft where it’s increasingly difficult to build simple or unorthodox/non-realistic things and have them look conventionally “good”, unlike you could in the old days when the textures and palettes were much more simple, I think advice like that can never be understated. But also it can apply to so many different things in life, any creative endeavor really.

That last sentence I agree with immensely. I think for literally anything creative you have to be okay with making bad things so that you can improve. Making bad things allows you to become better, however slowly. In my opinion you should just make creative stuff because you enjoy it, and don't let being bad at it stop you. If you just keep doing it because you enjoy it, eventually you might end up with end products you can consider good. :) (oh and you'll have had a ton of fun just being creative!)

You are super cool! Subbed. Some suggestions: Your vid is in 1080p on youtube but your gameplay still looked low resolution. You might be recording in a lower resolution or have an issue with your game settings. It temporarily fixes itself during your timelapse. You have the voice for content creation! You just need a bit more confidence, and that will come with experience. Keep going! Please increase your game brightness a bit. Use shaders too but only if your machine can handle it of course.
@Shamwarizim_

I found out what the issue with the gameplay looking low quality was yesterday, so my next video should not have it! Increasing brightness is probably a good idea. Thanks for the kind words and even more for genuine actionable feedback. :)

I use a program called "paint.net". It's not a website though. It is a free app called "paint.net", it is *not* a website. I don't know why they gave it a name that sounds like a website URL lol.
