College is about fit, not rankings. However, rankings cant be totally discounted. It's just not wise to choose a school based on rankings alone. The academic curriculum and how it will benefit you in future endeavors,prestige of the school, and the strength of its alumni network should mean more than year to year rankings that change annually!

We wanna see the paying for collage video !!!!! Also why do people say it's better to apply to like 10 collages and not as many as possible like 15, I heard a few people say that already and I'm curious because I would think applying to more is better?

Quality > Quantity! It takes a really long time to make a college application high quality. It's better to spend time perfecting a few rather than stretching yourself thin.

College applications are expensive and if you are applying to 15 schools, you probably don't want to go to some of them and are just applying to apply. I get not wanting to put all of your eggs into one basket but applying to 15 schools is excessive.

Thank you so much for providing all this great info, Makenna! I’ll be applying this fall to colleges, and I have to say I’m pretty nervous to do so. Is it possible for you to show us viewers how exactly you filled out and worded all the information on your Common Application (like how you described the clubs you were involved in, what you put in the additional info section, etc.)? Also, could you please share your personal essay or supplemental essays that you submitted? I believe we would find it truly helpful if you could show us these b/c many of us have no clue how exactly a personal or supplemental essay should be formatted and on what caliber/level we should be writing on to impress the admissions officers at these elite colleges. Once again, thank you so much for all the help so far!

I’m a sophomore but I want to be successful so I want to learn early I really don’t know if I want to be a lawyer or an actress my dream career is being an actress but I feel like I wouldn’t get into good schools 😿 and I don’t want to spend my time on something I might not even be successful on, so for now Im looking to be a lawyer even though I really want to be an actress/ also how can I get colleges to like me like really good schools I literally go to school and take normal classes I don’t do anything for me to get recognition so what can I do? Wouldn't applying to need aware schools increase your chances of receiving financial aid if admitted? Is it because an applicants chances at a need aware school could potentially decrease if the university can't support them financially?
