I honestly thought it was still the original unibody, this is awesome. Would be cool if it was all original but I under stand it needs a stronger unibody. Love you Subaru

Probably also mandatory for the repairs that they'd eventually have to do on set. Wrecking some OG components just for the sake of a Gymkhana video probably wouldn't sit well with anyone, heh...

There are 0 replacement parts for the gl you have to find a used car and refurbish. Or take you steel parts and use them for the fiber glass molds or carbon fiber

Its always good to see the process and hard work that goes into the thinks we enjoy. its just a video for some of us but for others its years of engineering, testing, failure and success to make a product that can stand the test of time for generations to come. we can all look back and be proud knowing out interest and appreciation for what it should, was and can be is what makes it what it is. Thank you Subaru, VSC, HOONIGAN, Travis Pastrana, Brian Scotto and all the hard working people and fans who helped to make this possible. YOUR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION TO THE CAUSE CHANGED MY LIFE. THANK YOU.

I love that Lance still has his team working with the cars on jackstands in the shop. Practice the way you fight; there's no lifts at the rallies. If they can build a car without a lift, servicing a car without a lift should be easy work. Great job, guys!

It's weird that in a world where your average builder takes time to break down the ideas, the trials and triumphs during a build, all we get with this car is something that really didn't need a video of its own.

Why are the brake discs mounted against the rotation of the wheel? I mean spiral notches, because in terms of meaning it is like an impeller of a pump, which must remove gases.
@Staticbrain2 жыл бұрын
If the veins were mounted in forward direction, the rotor would be flooded with air coming into it, when the gases need to be pushed out. It would create turbulance within the rotor.
@mazdahydrogen55792 жыл бұрын
@@Staticbrain I don't see the logic. on the contrary, incomprehensible turbulent processes will be just in such a case, as in this video. The oncoming flow is, as it were, scooped up by a notch on the disk and at the same time it is pushed in the opposite direction by centrifugal force.

I have built a couple cars, and I always wonder what a "no expense spared" build like this must cost. I think the parts alone would be well north of $250K, and that doesn't even account for the man hours. Definitely a cool car though.
