Taliah was incredible (they all were) but during the scene of her and Robert making out after saying she’s 16(or 14 I can’t remember), my heart dropped and I RAN to google to find her age and I was pleased to find out she’s of age but she made it so realistic I truly believe she was 14/16! In some states in the US the age of consent is lower than 18. Pedophilia is little children. And yeah it is a sick act. Unforgivable. But a teenager? You call that pedophilia? You are dangerous. Again: what do you make of nearly every country in the world having a legal age of consent far below 18? What do you make of that? Is everyone crazy? Or are you crazy? With Buddy’s character, you can totally feel his rapturous, self destructive nature immediately after being introduced to him through the film. I’m not sure anyone but an addict that has been that frayed, at the end of their rope, could possibly portray/ convey that like Buddy did.

As an 18-year-old aspiring filmmaker, this film has drastically shaped my style of writing and storytelling since I’ve seen it. I’ve gone on and seen all of the Safdie brothers’ other films and I must say they are my primary influences as a potential storyteller. I hope they become our generation’s Scorsese or Coppola so I can cite them as such if I make it.

Good Time is one of the best movies I have seen in the last several years.The story is far more deeper then a caper yarn,and it will leave you blown away when it ends.Robert Pattinson is almost unrecognizable and put on a tour de force performance and Benny Safdi as his developmentally challenged brother deserves serious mention as an actor.Talia Webster will be an actor to watch for in future roles.I recommend this movie to anyone who likes gritty movies from the ‘70’s.

Just saw it, really liked it. Some very good performances too, btw you can tell how uncomfortable Pattinson gets when Talia mentions twilight at around 17 minutes in. @@dx315 I don't think that's unfair. If he hated them that much he should have walked away they made like 5 movies man. @nilaheartin142
@nilaheartin142 3 жыл бұрын
@@Yash-bu4du tbh I think it was only after that he felt the whole weight of Twilight really come down on him. I think he had the impression that once it was all over his life would go back to normal but that wasn’t the case. In terms of regret I’d say that it wasn’t the actual filming that he disliked it was the aftermath with the fame and the craziness. However, I think the films were what he needed and at the end of the day I think many actors hate their ‘big break’ films nowadays but finally with Batman I think he’s escaping it.
@birdies8397
@birdies8397 2 жыл бұрын
@@Yash-bu4du Late to this comment, but it was a contractual obligation. With big franchise films, you often don’t get to see the full script because producers want to prevent spoiler leaks. Rob was also apparently in debt and was willing to take any kind of job to make ends meet. Twilight just happened to be that deal that he landed (he previously rejected the role, but took it up again after getting a huge tax bill he couldn’t pay) and was sucked into a multi-year contract without really knowing exactly what he was getting into. He’s also quoted saying that he got into A LOT of arguments with producers over how his character in Twilight should be portrayed and was nearly fired because of it. They wouldn’t let him act the way he wanted, plus he thought the story was ridiculous once he learned about the full extent of his character. Then, he also hated the fame that came with it. I read an interview in Vanity Fair a while ago that he ended up being clinically depressed by the end of the series and needed therapy to recover. So, it was a combo of needing money, being sucked into a multiple-year contract without really knowing what he was getting into, disliking the story once the ball got rolling, lack of creative freedom, and being thrust into the spotlight into a toxic fandom overnight and having the world know every little detail of your personal life. Contractual obligations are a b***, and they’re difficult to get out of. I feel bad for the dude, but glad he was able to get out of it. I can totally see how the mere mention of Twilight probably triggers tf out of him. OP is right that you can tell by his body language here.
