I'm thinking the same thing, enu's and light weight tents with the right bags can save quite a bit in weight and storage capacities. But if this is about guiding then people want all the luxuries of a mansion.

I love those canopies and I wish they made them for the domestic HD trucks, but IMHO it looks huge and overwhelming on the Taco. How does it handle at speed around turns and in off camber situations off-road?

There are different pricing for different applications, but I'm thinking and only by looking at it on here the camper along is around $17-21k. Pricing on bumpers and other parts may vary as well. It may not be much but once you add everything up than its a good chunk of money. I've been doing my researches for parts and installers so I can better equips my 2019 4Runner and 2016 Tacoma, CBI front bumper is around $1,700, front wench $800+, rear bumper is $3,200-$3,500 with dual gates, lift kit, suspension and air ride is $5,000+, Ham radios price varies depending on the application and need. But I know that they are not finish equipping this vehicle since they have yet fit MaxTrax, Hi-Lift, and perhaps other accessories. So that everything broken down for you just in case you want to equip your vehicle, buy do know that i have yet factor in the labor charges.

Minimalists everywhere are vomiting. Jokes aside, is all that stuff really necessary to have a good time in “the great outdoors”? Not trying to hate, you guys seem like a great bunch and it looked like a lot of fun in the shop. The $$$ burnt in this overlanding trend is alarming, though.
@OMEDFOY
@OMEDFOY 5 жыл бұрын
My wife and I are both "minimalists" at heart, but we also have two children - one of which is a medical shit-show. Given this, we have outfitted our truck similarly (but on a real person's "non-sponsored" budget) for camping. It truly pains me to have to invest so much time, effort, and money into something - just to be able to enjoy travel and adventure...... but our family refuses to let something like a chronic medical syndrome prevent us from exploring and experiencing life. So - long story long - whether you are hiking with a 22L bag and a can of trail mix, or driving around in a $100K sprinter van camper, at least you are out and experiencing life and traveling! Different requirements for the same outcome. Just me two cents.

Allocate that money into useful shit.
