@@damonsnary3134 If you consider their influence, I don't think its a stretch. They were one of the biggest influences on indie rock post 1995, for better or for worse. A lot of people stole all of their ideas, made shittier albums with those ideas, and made way more money.

This is such a good album. Start to finish. Song structures. Lyrics. Productions. Guitar and drum tones. It's so good. Im not super into his voice and like pop punk mostly makes me puke in my mouth. But this is an incredibly album that's almost tongue in cheek about the aesthetic. I think every album they did after this is pretty mediocre. The one with kicked it in the sun is okay. But their whole catalogue completely pales in comparison to this. This will always be one of my most treasured albums of highschool. It makes me 15 when I hear it.
