You need to bead roll or add some weld to those pipes so the couplers will actually stay on. Higher boost and they will blow off.

Really appreciate the effort put into the intercooler piping. Instead of putting couplers at every joint like most people you went through the effor to weld the pipes together. It really shows how much you care about cars and the quality even though it's a winter beater. Hope to see the continuation of this car and your channel! Crazy to think I remember the days of forza and your collaboration with AR12. Hope you have an awesome day man!!

Consider getting a metal chop saw(wood intended saw with a wood blade works for aluminum only) or a portable band saw(Milwaukee makes one that uses the same battery as your drill) and make a fixture for it so you can use it like stationary metal band saw, or just get a stationary metal band saw(can cut larger pieces than the portable one and is the better option). Having either/both really helps to fab stuff and you can do precise angles easier(pie-cuts!) for the next step up in your fab work.

Hey Gingiumvitis, I'm not telling you what to do with your own car, but I have built many a turbo Honda and I can tell you from personal experience as well as the experiences of others that those cheap crankshaft pulleys will absolutely destroy your main bearings over time. There's a reason why the stock crankshaft pulleys are called harmonic dampers (because they dampen the engine's natural harmonics and keep it from destroying itself). It's the engine's balancer and Honda uses them to externally balance the engine. That pulley has absolutely no balancing to it and it'll take out your main bearings fairly quickly.

@antonsoderberg8741
@antonsoderberg8741 3 жыл бұрын
When he was welding on the car he was welding mild steel, the intercooler piping is aluminum, welding aluminum with a MIG welder is a bitch to do, it's much easier to do with a TIG.
