How did you start bullet journaling? What's your journey been like so far? 📓💖

started with weekly logs and trackers during the first major lockdown in my country after seeing some videos online. Now Im mostly daily journaling and task planning for my mental health⭐ Im really proud of myself for sticking it out so far

I started journaling as a child at the time I didn’t know it was an outlet from the environment I was in. Then as I began studying the Bible I didn’t know at the time it was considered bullet journaling but I had a bullet journal where I would transfer notes I had taken from reading or biblical perspective books but in a more aesthetic way. Then I got married and needed a way to stay organized then I got injured and this happened after I was gifted an iPad from my husband and I discovered digital journaling and it’s been a HUGE help with my Bible reading journey as well as mental health. It helps me slow down and reflect on my days and learn about who I am. Next January will be one year of me consistently journaling and I am still learning what my style is. One thing I know is I will not overload myself with journals. I had WAY to many this year (digital).

In less than a week I have : discovered bullet journaling, discovered your channel, started bullet journaling, breezed through most of your bujo vids, and now you drop this bomb on me! Lol I am happy for you and wish you well as you change through the seasons of life.. Ive been married 8 years and have 3 kids, and change can be quite scary, but I'd say that standing still is even scarier! Keep close to the Lord as you have been doing, and he will give you a spirit of "power, and love, and a sound mind". I look forward to starting my bujo journey and referencing your channel as a guide! Thanks!

Great Q & A!! I have found that at least for a few months out of the year, I just don't work my bujo. I may still have things going on but there are times it seems pointless to do... therefore I don't do a bullet journal for that month. I used to have guilt about it bc, you know, "inconsistency" , but once I gave myself permission that hey, I don't need to do this each month bc it isn't necessary each month for me, the pressure I put on myself was relieved. Thank you so much for mentioning prayer and God!!! We need more youtubers like you! Thank you for posting!

Loved your updates! It's ok to quit a organization method that don't serve you anymore, and that's life! I Started bullet journal in May last year and for this year of 2022 I decided to move on to a weekly planner so I didn't need to think about the next spread, I was lost in the artistic community and that wasn't for me... until I read the Ryder's book and it was a gaming changing for me! I'll give a try to bujo next year again because I like to keep record what happened in my day regardless of space I need to this... we'll see if it's gonna work. Anyways congrats for your marrying! New chapter, new planner, new content I can't wait to see what is coming!

Your energy is so gentle, warm, open and honest 💜 Thank you for creating this! I moved to digital journaling because of the prices of everything now a days and the portability of it. Also I write and study a lot and my hands have had injury’s and they easily hurt or cramp with only writing. However after you came out with your lined journal video I began to use a notebook that was given to me when I got married and it’s super minimal but I have been enjoying it so much ! I use it when there is so much going on and I don’t want to be behind a screen but want to relax mentally.

Hi Claudia! As always it is a pleasure to follow your bulley journaling journey and I just wanted to drop by to say I totally understand your decision to quit for now. I have actually decided to try using a different organizing system soon (similar to the hobonichi) so I hope this will be more helpful to you as well in this new season of your life. I'll be curious to see how you use this new journal too if you ever feel like sharing it with us here but either way, I am just genuinely happy for the content you bring us on this channel. May the peace of the Lord rest upon you and your loved ones and have a beautiful day 🙏🏽💕 Rachelle

I thought about the Hobonichi Cousin for next year, but I have so many A&O notebooks that I’m going to keep bullet journaling. I hope we get to see a video or two about how you use your Hobo! I love planner/planning videos of any and all types.

I loved this video! I always enjoy your insights and tips. Your style is very different from mine but I just love to hear your views. And that's why I love the system because it is so very personal. It's also very good to see you looking so happy and healthy! You definitely look like your in a very good head space and I love that for you. I haven't been around much because also super busy and major life changes so I'm probably late to the party but congratulations on being married!! I'm so happy for you. Bts I also so felt that part about wanting to share spreads because you love what you do and having it become a thing that you have to do because content. I started doing pwms a year ago because I wanted to share my take and it started to feel more and more like a job. And because my life is also changing a lot atm I decided to take a break from yt because it was just too much pressure and that is not why I started bullet journaling. And I'll be around for the content, when I have time. Also loooove hobonichi!! I'm one of those multiple planner systems people and I'm excited to see how you're using yours. Do you have the cousin (a5) or weeks or the original b6? See you soon ❤️

Hi Kirsten, thank you for sharing! and thank you 🫶🏼 I purchased the original planner and weeks! Have no idea how I'll really use them but I'm excited to experiment 🤗

I've been bullet journaling for some years now and honestly it has been the most helpful thing to me. I started wanting it to look perfect and aesthetic but I always ended up giving up because it wasn't the right thing for me. But I never gave up, tried out different layouts, different styles, started by being more minimalistic and I loved it! I found it so useful because I would plan everything and it stuck to this day. Nowadays I don't do a minimalistic approach, I always choose a theme, I doodle a lot, but that's something that I genuinely like to do and it doesn't feel like a task whatsoever. The day it starts being boring, I'll go back to the simpler layouts because they work just fine! I feel like every person should try it out and see what works best for them because we each have different preferences and what works for me could not work for another person. So, yeah, I would just like to say: thank you for not making the super aesthetic bullet journal and instead going for the simple and useful approach because it definitely helps beginners. I love my bujo and I'll keep it to the rest of my existence if it depends on me, but I definitely understand why it wouldn't work for everyone. To beginners out there: try it out and start simple! The simpler, the better.
