This is the masjid that I took shahada in. I live 90 miles away, but I try to make it every Friday for Jummah. I have shared this video with family and friends, both Muslim and non-Muslim and they were impressed with the beauty of this masjid and how it came about. As for my journey in Islam, I’m still a neophyte, but I take a lot of pride in my faith, and it has helped me recalibrate my mental health and self discipline. I appreciate everything that my Iman and our community has been doing.

Although I definitely know what you are trying to say , no doubt there's a sort of wisdom when using geometry within the design. From what I have studied of Islamic architecture , geometric shapes are used mostly...furthermore Islam will be something strange til the end of time on the Earth which can't be changed. Nonetheless this masjid is mostly certainly functional which I found very impressive masha'Allah ❤

@@jantheslovakmuslim the design is not as good as the usual though. I mean you can build a mosque in blocky modern minimalism style if that is what you like. However if you try to diffuse Islamic architecture with blocky minimalistic style,.I think the result is weird in my opinion.

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuhu. Somali Brother here. FIRST I want to say Masha Allah and Jazakallah to you Bukharee. Brother you do amazing job of connecting the Ummah. Having said that, masha Allah isn't Imam Shuaib Din amazing. We as the ummah benefited from Br. Shuaib when it comes to design and the architecture and the functionality of a Masjid. Everything from the design of the shoe racks to the prayer space fir travelers and cab drivers. These are the embodiment of what truly functioning ummah should internalize. The Masjid I the center of the muslim ummah and having all these features makes it that easier for the worshippers to love and look forward to coming to the house of Allah. I'm overjoyed by what Brother Shuaib did for the ummah in Utah. And insha Allah I'll visit one day and sit with Brother Shuaib. We love him.

AlhamdulilLah - where I live, the masajid are not only functional but accessible to elderly, weak and handicapped-friendly. Those who cannot walk to the masajid, located at residential and business centers are accessible via electric wheelchairs. For most of us who do not own, cannot own or cannot afford personal transport, our masajid are accessible via public transportation - we are not personal transport obsessed nation. Very happy that our masajid committee/volunteers continuously try to make our masajid accessible to all with as little prejudice as possible. Again, AlhamdulilLah.

Ideas at work. Ma'asha allah. Hats off to the Imam and all of those involved in designing and planning of the mosque. Often times we overlooking the sisters praying area to socializing areas; but this mosque is as practical as it can get. Future mosques planners can learn from the designers and planners of this mosque. May Allah SWT make it a source of Sadaqa Jareah for all of them involved in this mosque. Aamin! and Summa Ain!

This imam is very intelligent. I love how they took the steps to make the sisters feel included. Some people complain that female prayer areas are always smaller than the male areas, but in this it is out of practicality and logic. But at the same time, it is slightly smaller, but given equal importance.
