@@sheldoniusRex difference between forge and cast receiver for M1A is more nit picking than anything imo, if you get a springfield M1A with an incorrectly cut stock, or incorrect anything really, you send it back and they fix it for free, and if you want to hold the whole IFMA thing against them thats your prerogative, they did publicly announce that they do not support it, but hey, like I said, if you want to hold what they did against them after they corrected their mistake, thats on you.

I bought one from y’all a few months ago. I was on the fence between Bula and Springfield and the forged receiver put me over the edge. Let me tell you I’m glad I made that call. Couldn’t be happier with the gun

Awesome Firearm, But I would suggest buying from Bula directly. They are friendly, helpful, and will work with you to get one of their firearms to the state of NJ. Which restricts m14s (by name only) but allows M21s, M25s, T44s and M1As... Atlantic is rude and unwilling to make a sale. They missed out on 2 separate rifle sales. Also Bula gives a military discount for Active Duty Military, when bought directly.

i want one because i live a whole 20 minutes from the bula facility therefore supporting local business, but the last rifle i had from them (bula/jra build) had stuck casing issues like crazy brass or steel cased. traded it off but i did like the fit & feel. just wish it ran right.

JRA has a bad reputation, I got a M71 that's bolt sticks because they fucked up the reciever, and tried to hide it by slathering it in an unessesary amount of lube.

Thank you for helping us in California. Bula defense needs to install a smith enterprise navy coast guard muzzle break in Gi or national match barrels in order to use the front sight & a ten round or 10/20 magazine & your California compliant. Beautiful iconic battle rifle.

I really applaud Atlantic for doing as much as they can to do California conversions in house to sell to the folks behind enemy lines. I'm only familiar with Atlantic Firearms and RifleGear actually putting in a bit of work to make the rifles compliant.

Notice how the stocks look way thinner than most M1As. Springfield is too lazy to actually cut the stocks correctly, so their M1As always seem fat but you can never actually place your finger on why it doesn't look proper. It's because they don't cut the stocks right. You can see a major curve just beyond the magwell, and it's almost like the magwell sticks out. When I touched a real M14 I was super confused at first, because it felt and looked a lot handier than I was used to. But it's the stocks.

I bought the Springfield M1-a Standard and got a walnut stock $225 bucks. It is oversized ,I got an old beat up GI stock and that's what's on it now .

I have a Bula Paratrooper. It is surprisingly light and handy. Zero issues so far and I don't expect any. Forged (Bula) is far superior to cast (Springfield). The fit and finish on the Bula Paratrooper is much nicer and cleaner than the Scout. As Superfamily Allosauridae said, the Springfield stock is FAT. The Bula fit is much nicer and lighter. The woodgrain on the Bula seems to be much better as well, if that matters to you.

Nothing you just posted pertains to why people buy them. They buy them because they want a better quality M14 clone than the cast receiver garbage SA M1A.

Guys...get out your tape rule and measure the barrels on the one in your hands and compare that with the one on the table. It's obvious the rifle on the table has a GI length barrel and the one your holding has a shorter 18 inch barrel. Doesn't anyone "proof" these videos before they're posted???
