You can actually explore lots of cities (Makati, BGC, etc...) within it. - Tagaytay with its stunning location near Taal Volcano - Baguio, the summer capital of the Ph because of its cooler climate - Pampanga, culinary capital of the Ph - Bicol with the most perfectly coned volcano, Mayon - the Ilocos Region for a Spanish-country feel with lots of colonial Spanish structures and nice beaches - Batanes Islands, far north, is the New Zealand of the Ph with its rolling hills & pasturelands Next stop in VISAYAS - Palawan - Boracay - Cebu - Bohol - etc MINDANAO - Davao City - etc There are thousands of beautiful islands with beautful people in the Ph but the above-mentioned are the well-known ones. You can always try them all and see what fits you. There are also so many vloggers out here since the Ph opened its doors. Each with their own style of vlogging. But it's also nice that you're trying to acclimate with the Filipino culture in other countries. 11:50 bro, they already got Quek-Quek in the US?! You should give that a go! It's basically quails egg in orange batter thats deep fried. It comes sweet sour sauce served in a plastic cup. The "Bisaya version" of it is pretty much the same BUT we (I'm from Cebu) add small diced red onions and sliced cucumbers to compliment the taste.

@@unculturedtravel the unique orange color comes from "Annatto powder" (a type of spice here in the Philippines) thats mixed with the batter, giving that particular color. Although an alternative would be food coloring, hopefully the ones in the US are made with Annatto powder. I look forward to you trying it out 👍

And lastly, I apologize for some of the stores’ lack of good customer service. In the dried fish section, the best one to try is the smoked Tawilis (freshwater herring)...might be hard to find though, they sell out fast.

Try bilo bilo, it’s supposedly eaten warm. It’s sort of a desert, sweet cooked in coconut milk with small tapioca and glutenous rice balls, maybe some jackfruit and yam in it.

Kalamansi is a citrus fruit sometimes is sold in oriental stores depending on the season. Squeeze it in filipino soy sauce, good brand is silver swan soy sauce

@@unculturedtravel if you want local brands im not sure what you'll find in the Filipino store over there.. but for rhum its Tanduay but if your seriously into rhum, Don Papa is the brand to look for.. Now for brandy its probly Emperador and for beer its definitely San Miguel. But there are also alcoholic drinks native to each region of the Philippines.. Lambanog is made out of coconut. Bugnay wine is made out of Bugnay berries. See if you could get your hands on those. 😁 Snacks in between drinking sessions are often referred to as "pulutan"

I like vinegar dips (I like them sweetened and spiced) so I cut the tocino into small pieces so that I can dip leave them in the vinegar dip and just get the meat pieces from there 😁

You're so lucky. Your area have lots of Filipino restaurants. Tocino is normally served with garlic fried rice and egg. I suggest you try "Bistek Tagalog". Its Filipino beef stew. Its beef sirloin cooked with soy sauce, onion, ground black pepper, and calamansi or lemon.

Try dinengdeng if any restaurants have it there or if your friends can make it for you it's similar to Pinakbet and bulanglang. Try Royal orange soda or if they have the Zest-O Pomelo juice soda or Calamansi because you already tried the dalandan and try the C2 Apple Green tea. Also try danggit ,balut, and jeprox if you haven't.

TOCINO marinated pork usually it's very sweet and here in the Philippines it's usually eaten as breakfast

Tocino can be added to the normal silog (sina-ngag garlic fried rice with sunny-side-up fried egg). That's called tocilog. Other dishes are tapsilog (tapa+silog), cornsilog (fried corned beef + silog), bangsilog (fried bangus/milkfish + silog), longsilog (longganisa sausage + silog), hamsilog (ham slice + silog), hotsilog (hotdog + silog). You can garnish it with atchara and/or sliced tomato or cucumber.

So sorry ate could've treated or shown with more respect and appreciation. But the main mission was the new filipino food experience. You know more dishes now than the average fililino. Have you had Siopao (Shoe-pow) yet? It’s a steam but with varieties of meat fillings inside ie pork, beef and chicken. Fyi...dingdong has msg. Most of those junk food have msg. Btw glad you’re not picky.
