Skylanders, Lego dimensions, and Disney infinity got screwed by amibo being like dlc not exactly needed except for few games and side modes in games that had an amibo requirement but that usually isn’t the case anymore and Nintendo doesn’t release amibo as often except for special occasions and some game releases Nintendo played the long game waiting for the toys to life market to turn into a battlefield simply put Nintendo played a palpatine and waited for the right timing.

Ionix the lion guard is the closest thing we got for the lion king in disney infinity, except with the ionix bricks cause some of the ideas including Simba's Character Mechanics and controlling a 4 legged animal were reworked into this

I completely agree!! While I don't want Oswald to always be tied to Epic Mickey, a packaged set of Oswald and Ortensia figures with some sort of Wasteland-themed base could've worked so well! But I would have taken anything, honestly 😭Even just an Oswald figure. He has so much potential for a unique moveset given the stuff in his cartoon shorts and detachable limbs, and it would have been so cool to see him in the Disney Infinity artstyle. Honestly, I'm surprised there weren't that many figures for the Mickey Mouse franchise in general.

I think the biggest upset is that they should have 100% made DI 4.0 but just literally made every character and play set free. The toy games like this or Skylanders would always fail because there is no way to fully sustain it. Their target audience are children… I think a DI comeback would be so fucking great with way more depth and such. It would thrive now just without figures. I know it was fun to collect them but still. Like the 4.0 literally pulling in everyone would have been so cool to me. I think Disney truly fumbled their Disney’s Infinity stuff.

sad all of this was canceled, it looked super promising, especially the Peter Pan figure given that it wss basically done.(In fact, modders on PC have a working mod of Peter Pan) and the story mode for Infinity 4.0 seemed to be finally what the games should have been from the start… but i think that alone shows why it was canceled. It took them 4 games to finally give people what they wanted, and honestly thats too little too late, even if Infinity 4.0 were ever to come out, i seriously question how well it would have sold.(Even though i would have played it anyway)

Ferb not being a playable character is honestly a massive disappointment. I mean his name is in the title of the franchise he’s a part of and he didn’t make it in? Apparently (and I’m not entirely sure if this is true), they had to choose to make him or Perry, and they decided to go with the Platypus. I also heard that it was also maybe a factor thing but I don’t know. I’m glad that we did get Perry, but I also wish we could’ve gotten Ferb too. They kinda did keep Disney Infinity alive with the toybox action figure line, but that toy has honestly gone so off the rails with either changing the characters designs from how it was in the game, or just making characters that were never even in the game. Either way, this game was my childhood growing up. Great video.

You can kind of play as Arlo, there’s a power disc that you can put that will make him appear, and you can ride him as if he was like a horse, I usually did that with the character Spot :)
