Bulgaria 26: Admitting our mistakes and trying to learn from them!

Winter in Bulgaria is no joke, and the dirt, cold and damp cam grind you down. Here's hoping spring is coming.

I remember how dirty the house gets in BG. So dusty there, I rarely need to dust here in the UK, probably because the windows aren't wide open very often due to the miserable weather lol. I'd rather have the dust! Agree with Our little BG adventure about doing a little bit, and often, but like you, I've said to other YT's videos 'that will never be enough wood', and sure enough they've had to get more. I think we used to buy at least 6 cubic a year, sometimes we'd have some left over, but we never ran out, and didn't have aircons but yes it could be so cold especially 1st thing. Wish we were there to see what spring buds are going to come through. Soon be spring and you will be working hard to keep on top of the garden and no time for the house. Hope you're feeling better.

First things first, you have done loads especially when you remember that you're not there all the time. All this stuff takes longer than you think, we've been at it for over 4 years and the list of jobs is still quite long! Wood for the winter does become an obsession, particularly when you start to run short. We try to do a bit (not too much) each day to keep the piles topped up. Once the wood is cut and stacked you can see how much you have, until that point it is just a random pile of wood. If you prepare too much for this year it gives you a head start for next year. This time of year is tough, added to that working full time and not being well it can seem overwhelming but remember spring is just around the corner and soon it will be positively hot!

Hello, I am bulgarian, 68 y old man, just retired. Like watching your vids. Today I am in mood to write in English, something that Im not very good at. As they say old bulgarians dont speak languages. Espetially with English teacher :). So forgive me my mistakes. Wanted to give you some advices - dont be offended.
