I used to draw pictures for a guy I loved. He would hang them up in his office at home and work. This song is helping my healing after he decided I wasn’t what he wanted. I haven’t drawn since.
@kingsizeblues6165 ай бұрын
That sucks, you should keep drawing though, for yourself. It's also a good distraction
@amberg41315 ай бұрын
I know that pain. I would always drawl him sitting at his desk, on the computer, or on his bed. I was addicted still addicted to him. Iprobably have over 100 drawings of him in My journal and each trawling indicates a state of life he was at. I think I've tried to help this man change for over three years now;been involved with him since 2013 minus a year we were broke up and like I'm trying to get the courage to tell him in done providing for him; I cant deal with whatever the fuq this situationship resentment anger disrespect disregard disease fueled and filled relationship welnce had where I'm still holding on bc I know he has the potential to be a great man bc he has done it in the year we weren't together. Call it anger, spite or simply I was the bad influence he has the capability to do it. Now heslike depressed, anti social, he's got no motivation to do anything, I'm genuinely worried, he doesn't want intimacy. When we stopped using we used to be intimatenow it just a switch was shut off and when I try to bring it up he always shuts me down saying he doesn't wanna talk about it, or this and that and I never get answers. He said he can't give me what I want but I only want him, I have no aspirations for our relationship. I dont think wanting the best for him, bc I know he's done it is trying to change him. I know he's better then the things hes doing. I know he's more intelligent and well spoken, he's like on intellect like ben shapiro and Jordan Peterson or jay leno and his car knowledge. This man is a good man; and I know this is just a bump for him but I'm just… I have days wherein not happy. I want some intimacy too. I want a hug and a kiss. I want to cuddle going to sleep, or just someone to tell me I look pretty today. I've been divingdeeper into feminine energy being more girly or ladylike and like recently he one time said “I like your makeup today. It looks cute” and he has NEVER said that before to me. So me never having that from him surely is skeptical about it. I dont trust it. I want it to be true but I gotta get out of delulu land and realize who I'm dealing with. He would lie about things he doesn't need to lie about. I will just be at his house dropping off food or tobacco. I'll get all the way home, then maybe an hour later hell say “do you think I can have one of your suboxones til tomorrow?” and bc we both are on the same medication, and it keeps him sober of course I want him to rather use that then anything else. But my fairness radar and the addiction tells me this is the same behavior he did when we were in active us so he's still doing that. The lying. Whenever I get money, I'm expected to tell him how much and he used to not like it when I spent money on things. Hesnot a out to eat kind of guy. I just, I honestly accepted him finding another woman to be with, like I was secretly hoping he'd fine another naive girl like me who would instantly pedestal him and support him so I wouldn't have to be drained all this time. I mean I'm happy chipper funny spunky til I go over there and its like the mood shifts to just the both of us doing our own little thing in our own small little worlds with the occasional “look at this” or”hey check this out.” I honestly can't tell what he's thinking, if he wants out, if he's tired of me, if he's trying to get me to break first, because I'm terribly stubborn headed and my stubbornness knows no bounds. I will see this through out of spite alone I am a woman after all lol. But like, does he really want me to go out and date someone else? Something tells me he wont fully be comfortable with some other man being around me, being close to me, kissing me and such things. I know he was never a jealous man at all; but I dont know if he could accept that thought, and there's the people pleaser side of me jee wiz. Im in therapy, I'm seeing counselors, two of them and a psychiatrist. I think my addiction was trying to solve this problem as if its a pill but in fact it's a substance. Its a whole entire relationshipof problems stemming back and forth and everything in between. No problems were worked through just time buried them. They're still there
@DarkshingekiD4 ай бұрын

i love this song! this song helped me leave a woman who was an addict. she loved to push my buttons near the end of the relationship. she was sweet at times but she would get irritable. she would take our money and use it for drugs and then ask me why i am broke and cant put food on the table and then she told me she was used to have a boyfriend who did "some drugs" and he was usually the bread winner and would supply her habit. thats when i said enough was enough and she got ready for work... i threw all my stuff in my car & told her i'm going to follower her out of the neighborhood and she will turn right for work and ill turn left and head to the freeway she didn't believe me... So 4pm, i did just that and drove from Atlanta Georgia to Austin Texas! hardest thin because i loved the good things in her but i had to save myself at that point in my life.

Within the last year I lost my wife, fought tooth and nail to maintain a proper amount of time with my daughter, and realized how horribly I was treated by my ex. Wasn’t allowed to see my family or friends, etc. this music helps me through the hard days and gives me hope to a better future for my life with my daughter in a time that I thought all hope was lost.

I'll throw something in. Music is about pure emotion. It describes directly what happened in a person's life, in the more they share it with people, the more it helps people that are going through the exact same thing. I am a musician and there is nothing better in the world, to have your fans sing your song back to you. Or even if you are doing a cover, when you saying someone else's song and your energy really inspires the rest of the people to join in with you you are correctly channeling the energy that was originally or is a meaning I should say that was originally meant by the band and I'll tell you what there is nothing better than songs to bring out some ones true emotion . these guys have it nailed!!!
@shaereub44506 жыл бұрын
Just like pouring your emotions out onto the papoer of a painting or story, music is the same way. Sometimes that emotion is rage. I personally say it’s better to unleash it out on this than other people.

Same here, but my ex still wants to hang out and do things like "friends." I don't mind being friends but not going out and eating and going out doing things together just us alone to have fun. Being around her just brings memories back and hurts me, like I'm in hell. It takes days for them to go away. Until I find another someone and get over her it's hard. I need space even after 6 months there's still a spark of fire that is in me for her and being away it is fine, I dont think about her. But if I'm with her or even hear her voice it lights up and turns into a flame. So I'm not ready to be around her. I just want the 5 1/2 years we had together to be in the past. It got complicated. Just like this song says...there shouldn't be anything left to say. It's just bittersweet memories...

You turn me off at the push of a button And you pretend that I don't mean nothing I'm not a saint, that's easy to tell But guess what honey? you ain't no angel You like to scream use words as a weapon Well go ahead take your best shot woman I wanna leave you, it's easy to see But guess what honey it's not that easy We get so complicated (complicated) This finger's for our memories So rip my pictures from your wall Tear them down, and burn them all Light the fire and walk away There's nothing left to say, so Take the ashes from the floor Bury them to just make sure That nothing more is left of me Just bittersweet memories I wanna run and escape from your prison, But when I leave I feel something is missing. I'm not afraid that's easy to tell, This can't be heaven, It feels like I'm in hell. You're like a drug that I can't stop taking, I want more and I can't stop craving. I still want you it's easy to see, But guess what honey? You're not that good for me. We get so complicated (complicated), This finger's for our memories. So rip my pictures from your wall, Tear them down, and burn them all. Light the fire and walk away, There's nothing left to say, so, Take the ashes from the floor, Bury them to just make sure, That nothing more is left of me, Just bittersweet memories. Just bittersweet memories. We get so complicated (complicated), This finger's for our memories. We get so complicated. So rip my pictures from your wall, Tear them down, and burn them all. Light the fire and walk away, There's nothing left to say, so, Take the ashes from the floor, Bury them to just make sure, That nothing more is left of me, Just bittersweet memories. There's nothing left to say. There's nothing left to say.

Just got out of a 2 1/2 year toxic relationship. Haven’t heard this song in forever and man it sums everything up so well. In the end we just weren’t good for each other. It was a mutual separation and no hard feelings but it’s still a breakup and have to go through the motions, but this song helps put everything to rest.

I used to listen to this song all the time as a teenager after a really rough break up. I haven't listened to the song in a long time, but for some reason today that clean guitar riff during the verse got stuck in my head. I had trouble remembering the song but I knew it was Bullet for My Valentine and I remembered the album cover. Now after finding it and listening to it again after all this time, tears welling up in my eyes, it seems to me that even this song has become a Bittersweet Memory.

Saw bullet ten years ago when I was 14, after their set the singer came up and talked to me for a minute, handed me a pick and wished me well. Love ya brother. At that time you were my favorite modern frontman. I was the youngest at the whole venue which is probably why you noticed me haha. Now I’m 24 and I still have the pick in a plastic sleeve. Thanks for the memories man.

This song speaks to me very closely. I was dating a girl that suddenly lost all feelings for me after a year. I'm not very fortunate or good with dating so funny enough she was my first just about everything. Then she lost her love for me and to this day I'm still in love with her like we never broke up, hoping one day even though she practically killed me, that she'll come back to me. Every breath is poison and it's eating away at me, this song and band are the only antidotes.

Robert Lawrence there are always gonna be constant reminders of someone you loved who broke your heart. And realizing how strong you are is always harder. But once you see it, it's a cake walk. I know you posted this almost a year ago but just remember to hold your head up high and carry on. Make your life better and prove to yourself and others that you're strong and can survive your darkest of days. After all, you're still here

after going through a painful break up this song is true. It was my first partner and it lasted just over a year. As much as I love her still, I think I need time away from her. She friendzoned me after ghosting me for about 3 months. It makes me wonder whether all those good memories are bitter sweet or just painful

I don't know what it is... But most men and women who are in the rock/metal genre of bands are extremely attractive. Is that some kind of magic? You start singing heavy metal and suddenly, you look freakin' hot as all get out? Someone, please sign me up.
