As much as I loved Brad Pitt in this kind of a role, Lemon and Tangerine absolutely steal the show. Just in general, this felt like the kind of "popcorn movie" we just don't get as much anymore, at least in the sense that it's not a reboot, trying to set up a cinematic universe, etc. It's a fun, one-and-done action blockbuster that's just interesting enough to keep you engaged the whole way through.

So Ryan Reynolds' cameo here was in exchange for Brad Pitt's cameo in Deadpool 2. But yeah Lemon and Tangerine were excellent and would definitely watch a spin-off with them, there's irony that they were talking about bulletproof vests and while Tangerine noted about being shot in the chest, which Lemon survives because of the vest, he dies being shot in the neck like Lemon noted. @@gavinderulo12 Honestly, it’s not so surprising. Foreign television doesn’t really get much traction in the States, whether it’s in English or not. American production companies will even do American remakes of shows that are already in English, because the American audiences only want to see American content. The Office is a bad example of this issue, because Steve Carrell actually nailed the comedy, but there are plenty of examples where it’s just insane. Broadchurch, for example, should never have been remade into Gracepoint, even if they did recast David Tennant in the lead role (though why Olivia Coleman wasn’t brought in too baffles me). Wilfred (staring Jim Jeffries) was better here in Australia. The American I.T. Crowd couldn’t get past it’s U.S. pilot episode despite Richard Ayoade’s best efforts. The point is Americans aren’t exposed to much outside their own borders on TV, so unless they are world travellers (approx 8% I believe), they don’t really have a chance to hear these terms.
