The lyrics are pretty shitty to be honest. "Bring out the knives, to cut and divide"... I guess he's talking about a relationship breaking up... that's a pretty cool and metal way of expressing it. Apart from that, it's all lame cliché trash. Talking about burning, bleeding and other stuff that doesn't even seem to fit with the rest of the songs narrative. Metal suffers with too many rubbish lyrics.

In which metalcore timeline you place them in? Because BFMV always have been the 2000-2010's metalcore, which way different in sound to how 2010's+ sound like. I never liked metalcore, but for some reason liked Killswitch engage, because they sounded always differently and unlike some other emo looking metalcore bands, but not that long ago I finally found out why, because bands that came out in early 2000's are way different in sound and vocals within the metalcore genre. BFVM always have been great no matter the timeline, same with Killswitch Engage, even in 2010's they didn't changed the sound and those drops.

I think this is a step towards a better direction. I'm hoping this is a kind of "Yeah, we're bringing some heavy stuff back" single. More interesting riffs & structures is what they need to bring back/develop on I always felt like since Venom. This track does lack a strong melodic vocal hook though, I'm all for more screams for sure but I hope the cleans don't suffer for it, always been a staple of the BFMV sound the big choruses.

Еще на Venom я заметил что-то не ладное, а на последнем так вообще пошла попсятина. А ведь эту группу полюбили за треш. Если бы их первый альбом был Gravity, фанатов было бы куда меньше. But this band pulls out some of the best solos ive ever heard, and Matt and Padge got that chemistry when playing which i haven't had the chance to hear since Venom. I mean 1 memorable riff in a song is cool. But to me that is just way too little diversity within the song. There ain't any surprises or moments to really stand out and make this song different. I will always preffer a solo (drum,guitar,bass, any instrument) in the place of a fourth repeat of the chorus.It's all my opinion too so hey, to each their own.

I love bullet and have followed them since 2006. I like this song after first hearing but my thing is, what makes them unique in not only Matt’s voice and lyrics but the guitar and way the guitar matches the drums with signature bass. I really wish they would bring back the melodic breakdowns/interludes like in all these things I hate or 10 years today. I know music changes but I still believe legendary bands like this can keep it and bring it back. I know bullet has it in them and I pray on the album they’re working on has something along these line. They are the reason I wanted to pursue guitar and learn their songs from their signature unique sound. I love bullet but please have at least one song on the album that has something along the lines. I do love the new song and heavy-ness of it. I hope they don’t think I’m hating bc I’m not I just miss those parts of the song.
