Welcome to the world of polyrhythms. Also Alex uses a lot of accented notes on the ride and the snare when he's playing that blast beat also, he's playing seisillos (idk how to say that in English) in the bass drum to alternate the pattern preventing it to became repetitive. I hope I was any help explaining this tricky shizz. @SUPERMA5TER Hold your guns. If they use it all over the album then it's a gimmick. It's a cool sounding effect and it makes the riff pop. End of the day, someone is always the first to do something, and eventually others incorporate it into their thing. I know in metal there's a rigidity to this idea, but it goes back to the formation of metal, and runs through every configuration of it so far.
@maryjohnson53774 жыл бұрын
@SUPERMA5TER You're not a "true fan" any more than the rest so STFU first of all. Also, this is only your little opinion, not fact. You think the sound is gimmicky, so what. You probably can't play guitar yourself so still STFU. I like it here and it fits in nicely, so now THAT'S fact too then. And it isnt JD's trick either. Do deeper research, its been around for a long time.
