BulletSafe Vest - What Can It Stop?

I just got a new bulletproof vest from BulletSafe to test out. Watch to see me test it on everything from 22, 380, 9mm. This vest is IIIA for handgun calibers so it should stop all of those. I even test it on the power 7.5FK BRNO, which is much stronger than the vest is rated for to see what happens.

For those of you that don’t know, this is the hot dog meat target. It’s hot dogs in a ziploc bag to simulate soft tissue.

I couldn't imagine not wearing plates. I wonder if there's any real tactical difference between getting shot w/out a vest and feeling like you were shot due to soft tissue damage, ie internal bleeding. Internal bleeding might stop you in your tracks, or who knows; maybe you wouldn't really notice due to adrenaline? Also, it would be nice to see some sort of soft tissue damage protection; like a high-tech pad on the reverse side.

That vest did pretty awesome. At least poor Betty didn't have to wear it for the 7.5FK. 😅

Impressive vest, but I think I'd prefer hard plates and trauma pads. Soft vest will stop the bullet, but the emergency room will ask me "What train hit you?"

Lol, I should have specified this in the video. I didn’t have 40 S&W ammo which is the only reason why this wasn’t tested.
