That vest carrier Is terrible. Those vests were issued to us (Armor truck courier) and all of the stretchable straps have ripped. None of them have elastic anymore. It’s like basically wearing underwear with elastic gone. This happened within 3weeks, if you get this vest make sure to get a better Plate carrier. (This has just been with our experience). But I like that the plate stopped the rounds from going through 👍

Thanks for the report. I figured, at this price point, the carrier is probably what they cheaped out on. RMA's comparable option (OEM Slate solutions) costs twice as much, so I wonder if that extra cost is partially a better carrier.

You can order better Velcro straps from other manufacturers like Safelife for $12-$15 for a set.

No one should really be carrying plates in something that has straps like these holding them together. I'd hate to see what that all looked like if you were running. There's a reason every serious plate carrier has a cummerbund. I see this carrier as good for throwing on light armor if something goes bump in the night (I've never even heard of robbers using AR15s), or something relatively unobtrusive to wear to indoor shooting ranges that don't allow rifles.

In the Heller decision it looks as if body armor would be covered under the 2nd Amendment. "The 18th-century meaning is no different from the meaning today. The 1773 edition of Samuel Johnson’s dictionary defined “arms” as “weapons of offence, or armour of defence.” 1 Dictionary of the English Language 107 (4th ed.) (hereinafter Johnson). Timothy Cunningham’s important 1771 legal dictionary defined “arms” as “any thing that a man wears for his defence, or takes into his hands, or useth in wrath to cast at or strike another.”

I've never heard of getting lvl 4 protection with a lvl3a and lvl 3 plate is that proven? I think that'll be alot more comfortable that a normal level 4 plate but I could be wrong I've never owned armor. What would you suggest thats budget friendly

Also what size plates fit in the pocket? I think im going to have to order one to replace my 511 plate carrier
@CopperJacketTV
@CopperJacketTV 2 жыл бұрын
So that’s what I’ve been told by armor manufacturers. It wouldn’t be NIJ rated level 4 but the ballistic protection would be in line with level 4 threat ratings. The pocket looks like it will hold a 10x12. Probably not much bigger than that.

@kenofken9458 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure it's a budget friendly way to do things. Level III plates are not a whole lot cheaper than Level IV and you still end up buying soft armor.

Kinda sucks that the website has a size chart showing that I would need a 3X, However, thay don't make a 3X! Only a 2X, or 4X. Seems like they forgot about a lot of us out there!

@@justinbushman277 the cartridge known to SAAMI as 10mm Auto, you see that measure can also be expressed as *1cm* . Sometimes we also call it *best millimeter* but this is a colloquialism known to, as mentioned, the cool kids.

Fantastic vest horrible customer service they never return calls and they won’t even respond to your warranty request, the straps started fraying the second time I put the vest on very disappointing and I guess the excuse is going to be there a small company wow that’s not how you retain customers and all I wanna do Bulletsafe is buy new straps and you guys can’t even accommodate that horrible
