Bulli’s Underrated Trails | The Gulag, Treelines, Bunker Run | MTB

While Bulli DH and Waynos get a lot of the hype, there are also some incredibly fun trails for when you want to dial back the gnar factor, and that was lucky for me as I arrived to find some fresh rain had just rolled through.
These tracks were all built by the same builder, and he’s someone who I think embodies the good things about trail building. He goes about his work without ego, his tracks consider drainage and erosion, and he builds for the community - trudging up the hill even when he can’t ride to improve the network for others.

Awesome vid man! First track is actually Treelines part 1 - the Gulag is yet another trail! Turn left after the Wayne’s step down to access, links back on to Wayno’s at the rock drop/chute

I just got into MTB biking since the start of Covid and Have tried a few trails here and there, recently I fell over and bruised my ribb cage and was out for 4 weeks and lost all confidence, watching your videos have made me want to get back on the saddle and give this hobby a good go again. Love your vidz

Would love to see you do a vid on the truly awesome trio of trails just to the South; Cabin Fever, Pony Pie & Coal Carts. If you haven’t ridden them yet they just may become your new favourite trails!

Captains Table is a bit above my pay grade but the other three are so much fun as single blacks. Pony Pie does have a pretty spicy section near the start. Josh Carlson does a Spoken Trail vid on CT & PP. Happy to show you around or help you find them

You should ride brokers nose/lower escarpment! Captains table and pony pie are some of the best tracks I’ve ever ridden (probably don’t do captains solo though), there is also the rebuilt trails above possums (big rock, muzzletove) in that area. With a long and super fun descent that avoids the mine road that is now cut off. Highly recommend!

Nope this was all pedals. Pretty easy fireroad back up at Bulli which makes it an excellent place for enduro training.

How you finding the range after riding it for a little while now?

It’s an incredible bike. Took me a little bit to get the fit dialled in and it needs big terrain to really come alive, but if you have the trails for it then it doesn’t disappoint
