I just want to share in case it’s more information the “angel tree program” is for children who have one or both parents in prison. The children are staying with a family member or foster. I know at our church we have a day that when all gifts are back we have an angel tree party so the kids can get their gift under the tree and have cookies and such too. We don’t put “from so and so” on gift tag many think the gifts are from their parents who couldn’t be there. It’s a great thing to be apart of.

Probably those women bullied kids when they were in school and they never stopped doing it. That’s actually very sad because they’re teaching their kids how to grow up and bully others and that’s very sad. Kids learn by seeing how their parents do things and unfortunately they will think it’s normal to act that way 😢. I think you did the right thing because your girls saw how it was to be the bigger person instead of seeing yelling between grown women. And if that had happened I can guarantee that your girls would be very scared seeing that happened. So you definitely did the right thing and at the same time you showed that you were the adult and the better mom by doing what you did 👍🏼

Ugh! I live in Parker so like 45 min north of Colorado Springs and I feel like that happens a lot in Parker. It feels like upper class and older moms than me (I’m 34 with a 3yo and a 9mo) and people seem very judgmental. I know it’s creepy… but man I’d love to be your friend! I feel SO insecure trying to make mom friends because of situations JUST like what you described! ❤

we did the “Angel Gifts” at my church growing up too and it was always one of my favorite Christmas traditions to pick a snowflake (they did them on a tree instead of the envelopes you got) and help pick out the presents and help wrap them! It made me feel like I was one of Santa’s elves helping out and spreading the Christmas spirit so it’s awesome that you got to do this with your girls 🥹

Older moms, so many of them are bitter, miserable, and unhappy like they'd rather be somewhere else, doing something else, rather than having/taking care of kids. My youngest sister and I were/are both teen moms - Me planned and 100% intentional, Jenna a "happy accident"... I had my girls at 17 and 22. Jenna gets it worse than I ever did because she's 18 with 20 month old identical twin girls (Jenna and the twins live with me and my kids - I own enough property and did a major renovation to add room for them). We've learned to mostly ignore these horrible women. If they knew anything about us they would have nothing to say... Neither of us like sharing our story much to not give other girls ideas they can do what we did. For me it was a lot of careful choices, working without being late, complaining jobs were "too hard" or "didn't pay enough", and crazy luck on a few things. Also parents who helped me take care of Megan even though they were not happy about me getting pregnant or a few other things. It worked out that Jenna could live with me and my girls and still be able to go to college (she actually got exempted from senior year of high school, starting college a year early - Post secondary option). Megan and Jenna are closer in age than Jenna and me - They're practically sisters more than Jenna and I are. We love having her twins - They're best friends but their personalities? Polar opposite - Its so fun getting to take care of them and see how they grow. All I can think to say to the bullies is go touch grass lady... Eff off... Leave me, my sister, and our kids alone.

It’s so frustrating when things like that happen! One time, my family was at an aquarium and my 4 year old daughter and I were in line for one of the special events they were doing. I had a stroller but my daughter had jumped out of it for a bit and stood next to me. Next thing I know, a group of pre teen girls ran right around us. As the people in front of us finished up and we were next, I scooted forward with our stroller a bit since we were next in line. I kid you not, the mom of these girls was like “come on girls, let her go in front, we aren’t gonna do that nonsense.” Like you, I am not confrontational and didn’t say anything but I carried it with me for a few days like did I read the situation wrong? Cause she truly made me feel like I was in the wrong even though they were literally trying to cut us in line. And just like Ben said, those things always happen when he’s not around, it’s the same with my husband. My husband came up right after that happened and I told him about it. It just ruined the day for me. People are so rude and mean. On another note, super excited for this launch! Will this one be up at like midnight on the 4th or is there a scheduled time?
