There are different breeds of bullies. The dudes that confront all the new guys for commissary and magazines, those guys are cowards. Then there's the bullies that are trying to entice new guys to stand up for themselves. My first time in jail, I was confronted by one of the latter. He toughened me up real quick when I threw hands, and I learned something about respect. Some dudes just like to weed out the weak ones though.

Athens was in large part about asking what it means to be a good society, good government, and what truth is. Athens, despite loss to Sparta, still remains a fairly important European city. Also, a certain 20th century government operated on social darwinism, and drove away a lot of its greatest thinkers. So "natural law" is frankly a bogus basis for organizing a society.

That line about bullies being cowards is the most dangerously untrue truism I can think of. Adolf Hitler had to have been the biggest bully who ever lived and he had two Iron Crosses from the German army and you don't get those by being chicken. He charged right into heavy machine-gun fire and saved peoples' lives and was awarded military honors more than once, so don't bother writing him off as a coward no matter how much you might want to... Like you say, it sorta sounds right and might be in some cases and situations but generally, it is the opposite of the truth and is advice that could cost you your life in the wrong circumstances. Bullies are simply people who feel they can get away with and aren't ashamed of intimidating people and gathering some kind of advantage from that intimidation, such as free Canteen in jail or a nice place to sit in a crowded cafeteria. Another word for "bully" is "psychopath" or "sociopath" or "anti-social personality disorder"; normal people wouldn't want to be such a fucking asshole but bullies simply don't care... Oh, and why would somebody who wasn't tough be in the least bit interested in trying to be a bully? How would that work...?
@pillmatik42395 жыл бұрын
Chris Jones Hitler is more exception than rule. Can’t compare most people to him. Most studies on bullies aren’t talking about prison where violence isn’t just a threat it’s a guarantee. Most studies on bullies are done on schoolyard or workplace bullies who know that while there is always a threat of violence, the likelihood is low. And they usually are overcompensating for some insecurity.

As a former bullying victim I really enjoyed this episode man, deep stuff! Agree with you on a lot. Would not say bullies are cowards but rather as you say, they're starving. Be that a case of food, resources or sometimes simply love and respect (social appreciation basically). If they lack any of these they will seek to get it from others by force. And if you end up in jail with a lot of said resources, where many people have close to none, guess what they're going to try to take it. That's the law of the jungle. BUT in the eyes of civilized society where people rule by love and not fear, and most people have at least some level of personal resources (love,respect etc), I guess it's just an easy label to call them cowards. That way you don't have to think about it and put yourselves in their shoes, whereas if you did you would see that they're just poverty-ridden and war-torn and fighting is the only way they know. Was also meaning to ask you Death man you ever get bullied? You seem like the kinda guy bullies would know to stay away from, pretty strong and no bullshit type of mentality, or "real" as you say. But they must have tried? What did you do then? Please elaborate! Thanks and much love all the way over from Finland bro!

Having only spent one night in jail in my life, I'm in no position to speak about that kind of bully. However, I was bullied in elementary school and part of middle school. It was only when I began to stand up for myself that, for the most part, the bullying stopped. I would once in a while have to reassert myself when a new bully tried me. Similarly, when I an adult, there were times when dudes tried bullying me at jobs or as neighbors. I found that Every time I tried to avoid them, I just encouraged them. When I stood up for myself /put out that "I'm Not The One" energy, the "bullies" stopped messing with me and moved on. This included every time I decided to quit being afraid of a bully who was bigger than me or had a meaner talk game than me. I was ready to get my butt whooped vs being punked but every single time the bigger bully backed off when I stood up. So bottom line, my experience is that the vast vast majority of bullies on the street fold like a cheap suit when you stand up to them. Hopefully I will never find myself in jail or prison to experience what you are talking about.

Also out of curiosity a friend of mine claimed where he was in prison it was just as easy to cop heroin inside than it is on the outside and also if a prison has a good amount of certain kinds of drugs like heroin or oxi pills usually there’s a guard on the take allowing the drugs to flow into the prison. Is that true about easy access to drugs on the inside and if there’s a lot of drugs coming in that usually means a guard is either bringing it in or at least being paid to look the other way? When I got locked up in Harris county I had already spent 15 yrs abusing hgh and roids and doing jui jitsu for the Florida studios of self defense so I was a big dude and I knew how to get down. I also have 2 biceps on my right arm due to a rare injury years back ripping a door off a car in a rage. I'm a respectful man and very humble but when I started seeing some of these punks bullying people I started hunting the bullies down. I ended up spending most of my time in the hole ,but I saved alot of guys and that's all I cared about . They referred to me as Hellboy because of my crazy looking right arm. I would even give up some of my food to the guys that had theirs taken from them. Long story short I gained respect and was cool with everybody even the co's. Heck the CO's knew the charge I had that put me in there was bogus which was only "resisting arrest". I had no other charges . One CO even handed me his cell phone through the bars of my holding cell to allow me to call my family. There is no honor in bullying even if you know u can get away with it because there's always somebody badder than you. My charge was eventually tossed out and luckily never got charged with the assaults I did to bully's in lockup.

Always respect my father. Running or not. Coward is different from a asswhoopin that could change your life. Respect my father more then to have some dude on the net change my mind.

I wouldn't respect my father if he went to jail and left me and my mom to fend for ourselves. F**k running from a beating in jail.

I'd still think of my pops the same. Sometimes running is the smarter thing to do. Smart>Pride.

weaklings only bully on the internet, RL bullies are legit dangerous...although poisoning food that you know will be stolen is a fun move.

Yo death props for ur material bro, it amazes me that u can keep it coming. Funny when I did my 6 years i was about 8 months in i transferred to dcf and this fool i came up w decided to try to punk me off trying to keep some playboy mags i let him borrow and he told me off in public.. Lemme say nothing some pepper juice to the face follow by a slock didn't learn him lol.. That law u mentioned is bs too, i actually had to go to court recently cuz my kid dialed 911.. And lastly i always hated bullies man, i was always tallerbut never a bully and glad for that! But i think it's a gradual thing man like check it.. U a kid in a broken home u become a bully cuz of mommy and daddy issues right, then as a man u done that ur whole life never checked nothing stopped it so they go forward almost as a way of life knowing they ain't gotta worry about shit.. Make sense? They see hey i do this i get that n no one will do shit blah blah. Good show death ✌
