The biker gang they fought were the Rogues from Gary, Indiana. Not the "Gary Rouges" and Benny didnt lose his foot, rather he had it nearly amputated at the ankle by a shovel but recovered after a few months, learning to compensate his riding.

@@kendraechols8679pretty sure he’s not talking about the real story and is actually talking about the movie itself and how the script for this video wasn’t wrote very well by the recap person…. First yeah they got it wrong with saying that the foot being cut off but calling the Rogues the Gary Rogues wasn’t because the person who wrote the script got it wrong like they are trying to say… if you look at football teams for example like the Baltimore Ravens that’s not their team name they are just the Ravens but they are from Baltimore so people commonly say the Baltimore Ravens. The same rule applies to the biker gang, they are the Rogues and are from Gary Indiana aka the Gary Rogues, there could be multiple chapters of the gang… no different than someone saying the Boston Hells Angels because that tells you it’s the Hells Angels from Boston.

In the End, i was really expecting a showdown between Benny and that Dude that killed Johnny. I also noticed that these two never had a direct conversation in this movie, so it would have been epic. Benny not revenging Johnny, who he loved, wasn’t realistic to me.

I found the website where the author Danny Lyon of Bike Riders posted all the audios, and some of the pics he took back in the 60/70s. The dialogue is word for word, the actors actually resemble the originals. AND the funny things that happened like Benny sitting all night outside Cathy's house, and him leaning over the pool table when she first saw him, cockroach at the gate with his family and more.. the film mimicked it exactly. I am so impressed with the authenticity. I LOVE THIS FILM!!

I never understand how anyone ever can think that interpolation makes something look better... It is NOT better, it's also called motion smoothing and it's the most hideous thing to ever grace a screen. It interpolates between existing frames to increase from 24-30 fps to 60fps, at the cost of making it seem extremely unnatural as well as adding artifacts. I abhor it, but now you know what it is 🤣

It feels nice to be able to see the movement of players for the sake of appreciating what they're doing, but otherwise I dislike it too. If anytime you feel like movies on your TV look like this, theres usually a setting called "motion smoothing" or something similar as I mentioned. Turn it off and you're good to go.

Speed changed that. THe 60's changed that. As soon as Speed Pills were basically made schedule 1, bikies had to "make" their own. Just like LSD, too. And if yu are going diwn that road, you're basically all in as far as "contraband" goes. Contraband costs money. Bikies have one product that they never have to pay for, and can expend without any restraint. Fear-Reputation-violence.... .... And that's it. how do I know? Let's just say I have had first hand experience with "families" of bikies... ..... That's all I'll say. Because to be honest, it's all I know. The rest is member's only.

The Bikeriders takes place 60 years ago. Danny Lyon was a Chicago Outlaw in 65-66, and his 1968 book, The Bikeriders, inspired the movie. Original 1%ers were greasers with slicked back hair, and ducktails. Lyon's photography of the 60's era Outlaws MC records this.

It's based on Danny Lyon's 1968 book The Bikeriders, which predates Goodfellas by 20 years. The movie is pretty much a literal adaptation of the book. Director Jeff Nichols is a big Scorcese fan, which might explain any similarities.
