Did you see him in "The Accountant," as a mercenary? They're making a Sequel to that. I've never seen this guy be less than stellar in ANY of the movies in which I've seen him, even when he was playing a dumber role of the Loader, in "Fury." That's why Frank Castle / The Punisher is my favourite Character in this Universe. He is an elite soldier with PTSD and no super powers. And since the Police Force / FBI / CIA are all crooked, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Sure, Vigilantism is not always the best solution, but since he is dealing with a corrupt system, it is the best way of dealing with the ones who wronged him. I remember a conversation between him and Daredevil, where Frank tells Daredevil that, when he puts them down, he makes sure they stay down. It was quite an interesting conversation they had after they fought.

Best treatment of The Punisher on film so far. Only one real nit-pick: I don't like versions of the Punisher where he begins his career chasing down the gangsters who killed his family. In the original comics he is once asked if he ever killed the mobsters who slew his family. His answer was, "I don't know. It's been years; and I've killed so many." In my view that better fits the nature of his broken spirit and his hopeless mission.
