Bulls need to take the Ryan poles approach from the bears.. retain a couple key players for example (Coby white) trade away large contracts (zach,nikola) get whatever you can.. hopefully either expiring contacts or future picks.. start over with future picks and larger budget. To build around drafted players and FA acquisitions.. won’t be easy but we will be bad for a couple years hopefully get top 5 picks out of those years and still have flexible cap space to resign players or add. Also future picks to either trade away or keep adding talent

I think people are misunderstanding what the bulls are doing just cause they traded for giddy doesn’t necessarily mean they are going young I think this is them trying to shake things up while remaining “competitive “

Ausar Thompson was the 5th overall pick and the entire nba loves him. All he does is play defense and rebound. Why cant we love our 3&D player that shoots extremely well from 3? He is a very good defender as well. He wont be a 25ppg scorer lime we wanted, but we still got a very good player that we can use in a support role to our core players. Why cant we love our homegrown role player? His draft position means nothing at this point. Hes a good player to keep around. Especially since hes so quiet and soft spoken. (The Derrick rose fan in me likes that personality trait he has lol)

Just wanted to say thank you to both Haize and Pat for your content, it is something I get to look forward to daily. Sorry about the 6th pick comment a couple of days ago. I heard Woj mention a 6th pick and didn't realize he was listing things about Giddey. I think Giddey will be nice if we give him an opportunity. Do we know if Hansen Yang is eligible to be drafted this year? I like his game even though it can be a bit unpolished at 18/19 years old. I also like the thought of Grant Nelson from Alabama as a 2nd rounder or undrafted signing. He may need to bulk up, but the shooting form is solid and he is comfortable in the post.

Toronto is interested I'm sure. Also could see Spurs forcing a Sign and Trade like we did with DeBo. If they see Kawhi, they developed him and have Bank. Giddey pre Arrest. He's gonna Develop into Luka. After-Not really playing time for him, got a new PG. He's a good player who will Develop. Pry play the 2 but run the Offense here. Shooting was developing at a good arc. Defense needs work but the tools are there. Needs to add Mass, but. As a Prospect he would be a Top 5 pick this year.

The Bulls seriously fumbled the AC trade from a business standpoint. Its like some playground game of "pick 'em." 2K level stuff. Firstly...from a basketball standpoint? We didn't NEED Giddey. At all. We have Coby, Ayo, even Leroy. Okc NEEDED a player like AC. Even had they kept Giddey. AK should have simply told Presti "We need a good pick if you want AC. And a player for salary. We'll take whoever you send. But if a pick isn't involved? Go get YOUR Derrick White elsewhere. Call me when you're serious and we'll make the deal. But know we're aggressively shopping Alex, I'll be negotiating with your competition until I get what I want. It won't take long. But these are my terms, period." Simple as that. We needed that draft capital if to not use ourselves? To help make sending out Zach a bit less painful. We give one, but got one. See how that works? Obviously AK don't because all we have is no AC, no pick, and a player we didn't NEED. Plus a possible pick or cash or whatever to lose possibly going out with Zach. Wth?😭And as fans we're left holding ourselves rationalizing "Well if Giddey were in THIS draft we'd take him! Dat as good as a pick!" No, its not. Not close. Tell me...what do you think Giddey's value is TODAY? We getting Caruso level talent for him? A quality pick? Hell no. In short...our FO has no balls and lacks common business sense. End of story.

@@juicejuice5013 Well then Okc could have hung onto their pick, had no AC, and we'd have made the deal elsewhere and gotten a more favorable deal for our current situation. Giddey doesn't do much for the Bulls considering what we already have. I'm not betting on him for our future. He sort of played himself out of Okc. A team that ended up somewhat carrying him. He's on a much less talented team, now. I mean I don't not like him. But our needs lie elsewhere in Chicago.

Okc know this. 71 games last season, 67 the season before. And you know they gonna make sure he's good for the playoffs. They taking care of him. His minutes might even go down. 'Bro it just sucks. I wanted THIS Bulls team to work. We lost 'Zo, Zach been unhappy, Alex has gone off to win a 'chip. Wtf are we doing here? And this trade was our first in THREE seasons. A culmination of all our failings. And I liked Coby as our PG! All those seasons...we end up with Giddey. 'Bro we got work to do. You know Okc HC is good friends with AC? A former mentor who coached him 50 games in the G League? Everyone living the dream in Okc while we're falling apart. I want us to do good but I've lost faith in our FO atm.

The stats speak for themselves and Giddy was leading a winning team. He had one bad series in a bad matchup and all of a sudden he is trash. I don't get the logic of people. The guy was getting better every season and if he has any balls he will work on what his weaknesses are just like Lonzo couldn't shoot at all and developed. Nothing is a guarantee but the dude can play and will make it easier for the team to get movement cause they will know they are getting the ball.
