Go to local law enforcement and file charges. If they give you a line of BS go to the Attorney Generals office. The cops will have to deal with it when the sh*t rolls down hill. There is a statute of limitations on assault. Don't wait too long. School districts don't prosecute crime. The County Prosecutor does! Regardless of criminal charges, the bully can still be held accountable in civil court! Talk to a lawyer!

I totally sympathize with this girl. When I was in high school, a bully tapped hot ashes from her cigarette into my hair. It smelled horrible and it brought many unwanted comments about how it looked. As such, it was months before my hair recovered its normal appearance.

I was bullied a lot when I was in elementary school, when went to middle school I started in sports a went thru a growth spurt. I got to high school ,I was 6’ 1” 195 lbs played football and worked out in the gym every day after school and people looked scared of me although I was friendly with everyone. So when I saw kids getting bullied, I became their protector and word of mouth started going around if anyone was getting bullied to find me or tell me if the bullied was afraid to approach me. So a day came when a boy was picking on this tiny young girl who was awkward and very shy and I gave him a verbal warning with my fist clinching his jacket and feet dangling in the air. He didn’t bother anybody after that. I sill pro the bullied to this day I’m 52 now.

I can tell you from personal experience, if one gets bullied at school, the bullies will deny it when called to the principal's office, and the principal believes them and lets them off the hook. Sixty years later, I was assaulted by someone I know. I reported it to the sheriff. Of course, the perpetrator lied and said I attacked HIM, and the District Attorney believed him and let him off the hook. Some things never change.

How did do any justice on the person that did this. Course in these days of the 2000s most bullies get away with little or no punishment. Not stopping what they do. Call the police; that is no good reading where they state of not able to do nothing, for lack of mental attention. The police can only do anything physical. In my days, the bullies got real punishment, at lease in our area of the state.
