i came across your video, helped me a lot on which hardwares to use. i have 1952 CJ3A Willys, a bit high for me as well as her to climb into the jeep, especially when exit the jeep. i got the same identical step you have. thank you for your time and effort. i will post my jeep when i get the KZbin video set up in few day. it will be named: "1952 CJ3A Willys front disc brake conversion: DIY canvas top: dual master brake cylinder: 12 volt conversion from 6 V: emergency park brake installation. you may share this with your jeep buddies. will be about a week or two to get it set up. thanks again. Hi, nice & simple , good video - perhaps when you get a little time, you could remove the bent metal spacers & cut some short tubing to use as spacers ( more secure ) also a little paint will help it live longer. Edward.

I love the look of hoop steps but drilling into the already rustable dodge panels scares the piss out of me.. maybe a small hit of primer where it won't show?

Currently putting this on my 4Runner. Uses the same body style underneath as your Ram. So it should be easy to follow

Did you get your steps mounted ? I’ve got a 2002 4 runner and just bought a set but don’t know how I going to mount them since the mounting area is rounded and not a flat surface ,how did you do yours and are they holding up ok ?

looking at the same one for my 1988 suburban, on amazon they have them in a damaged box for 24.00 seams cheap, but as it is it’s hard to get into the truck so looking for a quick fix.

For anytime doing this install the u bracket the opposite way this guy did. It’ll help it from walking off the step. When u face the open end of bracket towards the rail it has no end to to bend and fall off

It seems like a bad idea to space them so far from the rocker? I guess its so they dont stick out as far. But the torque on the panel is increased by at least a factor of 10 vs a flush mount... Ill try it tho TY for the guide!

Yeah, I could use some more I fo or pics in where the brackets go too. Most videos I see it looks like guys are just .counting them to the bottom part if the flange. I dont see how that is secure or safe.

Thanks....i was trying to figure out how to attach the nuts behind the rocker panel... didn't realize the mounting point was actually the pinch weld. I think I understand now.... but wish they made those Spacers more solid. I may use a different spacer, but at least I understand the mounting points better now. Any chance you could email the instructions or post a link to them online?

You can turn the u bracket the other way and not worry about it moving on you...

A 2013 has every option from drop steps to powered running boards. A search on amazon will yield a lot of results.

Just look at the profile of the truck under your doors. Like where the pinch weld is. The instructions have pictures of the different profiles of trucks. You should be able to identify which one your Ram is.

Yup those 2 bolts and step are good for 350lbs
