I didnt know you could kiss boys in the game and didnt remember hearing any controversy about it but when i found out i went "im sure people like jack thompson reacted normally". I do remember him claiming you could shoot people or something and the judge literally brought a crt and ps2 in the courtroom and played it and found nothing worth crying over.

I do not support banning games, I have completed Bully and it has a good story. But I do say that Bully should had been rated M since Jimmy Hopkins and Ernest are sex offenders due to what they committed in Paparazzi mission.

its amazing how ppl couldn't differ reality from fiction. i am brazilian, even tough they banned Bully here, schools was dangerous places. bullying would be the last of our worries. idk nowadays, but back in time things was very violent, and i doubt ppl ever knew the game existed. Bully gameplay and events look extreme harmless compared with the reality we had in schools. when i played it i just find it silly.

Its a bit off topic but which bully version is the best one? scholarship edition has all the content but its buggy and it seems to be missing many subtle things from the ps2 version like certain sound effects (crowd sfx in the mission help gary seems to be present on ps2 but not in SE, or maybe its louder i dunno) Is the Wii version the definitive one? has all the SE content but without its bugs or downgrades and the graphics close to the ps2 ver

Wii has the SE stuff without the issues PC/X360 has, like PS2 with SE content. PC has the upside of mods to keep things fresh

they banned bully in Brazil on the time it was released... but the ban didnt last long. It happened when i was a kid, but everyone played it anyway because here in brazil we only played pirate games when ps2 games was the hype. None of the banned games was actually banned because of it.

I remember being impressed by doctor crablesnitch (The principal with the name I'm likely misspelling) having different voice lines depending on what you got busted for! I remember I kept fighting the two workers in the insane asylum, and as a result I got lines along the lines of "You had to be tranquilized to be brought under control? Outrageous!" Additionally, I always liked the music lessons, though my friend insists there were no music lessons in the game!? He played it just as much as me when we were kids, and like me he always struggled with the English classes! I also struggled with geography, as I didn't know the American states!
