I have worked for five dental offices and I dealt with bullying with all of them. Currently, I no longer work in the dental field and moved on.

@@tjc2993 you did good, it is very rare that Dental Assistants really love what they do. I was going to school when I was a Dental Assistant and our bully was The Dentist, also he had a pet who was his manager...My aunt is like these girls she has been at one place 1 dentist 42 years and loves it.. That is unheard of now adays

@@laurenrae7695 I’m very sorry for your experience. I’m happy your aunt has an office where she doesn’t have to deal with bullying. Yeah, the last job, the dentist was a creep. I decided to no longer work in the dental field unless I’m working from home. I keep getting alerts from job offering. I looked at the reviews and they are bad. Well at least in the area I live.

I've dealt with a bully in the office before and stood up for myself and ended up other employees thanking me for speaking up. Because they too were felt being bullied but hesitant to say something...

@@DentalVibes Not anymore because we had to move to a different area. But I was happy I did it. I would never let that happen again. Btw, I hope you guys are doing well now that we are somewhat back to kind of normal. I love watching your videos. Keep it going ladies!

A lot of times when I stood up from my self I got fired and the bully one. The best thing to do is find another office.

And sometimes thats the best thing altogether! Most toxic environments remain that way due to their poor management.

This made me feel not so alone. I’m a newer DA, working in the same office for 2 years, still working towards a CDA then hopefully more. I’m the first one in, last one to leave, and I never leave work for anyone to do. I have a great relationship with the 2 dentists and all 3 hygienists in my office. Since I started, I have been bullied by other assistants because they’re more experienced and by my awful manager micromanaging constantly. I’m afraid of leaving and getting hired at another office and experiencing the same but I’m tired of the negative atmosphere. I feel like I don’t really fit in at all. Rumor has it 6 people have left for this reason. I’ve brought it up to the dentists and they aren’t doing much. I’m the newest employee and a lot of the others knew each other outside of work so I’m more of an outsider. I cry on my way home at least once a week.

Omg I’m going to that right know my manager always bully and threatening me that she goma fired me and gives me atrofie no reason and have told me I’m not professional for getting sick

What up champs! A definite real issue, what a great episode, I'll look into your mentioned research to learn a little more. I was bullied my whole kid life, and now I eat them for breakfast, nor does it happen around me.

Im close to putting my 2wks in at my dental office because of a BA that stirs the pot and threatens to get u in trouble at work. Boss does not listen abt complaints we have abt her or complaints from pts because she’s rude. We are also so so overworked and our boss does not even know what’s happening in the back. A lot of us want to leave but this ain’t it any more. Tips on quitting?😭

How do you deal with a new RDA who gets away with not cleaning or changing the way you work in a office. I am a rda too. I ask her not to put magnetic but blocks together because burs get lost and she did it again. I’m tired of loading but blocks because no body replaces them

Well maybe bring up to your manager and have a little meeting with her so you can discuss expectations. It’s really important for everyone to be on the same page

I’m at hairstylist and I’m leaving my salon because of one she is like 30 some years old than me and tries to make me feel bad for being slower than she is at doing hair so I decided to make a career change I’m going to be applying for college soon for Dental Assistant Program because I much rather invest my time in a good career instead of hair because we don’t get paid very well and have no benefits so I’m going to better myself and invest my time into something way more worth it thank you guys for the information I love your videos!

I use to do hair as well and found that a lot of salon owners are rude and don’t want to see younger stylists do well, I had to leave the profession.

You guys are so beautiful an I love your accent !! Your videos really make me want to be a dental assistant! That’s why I don’t want to do hair anymore , every salon I worked at I’ve always been the only minority . An people try an play me or don’t want me to do their hair because they think I fit. Know what I’m doing . When I’m really a really good hair cutter especially men’s cut . I’m just over it I’d rather do something else positive with my energy. It’s exhausting

We love dentistry and welcome everyone that wants to be in this field, however, you will find a lot of issues...every workplace will have problems, but we need to rise above it and strengthen our weaknesses. Don't give up what you already love just because you can't find a nice salon yet. Either way, good luck with everything :)
