This was made with the intent to bring hope to those who have or are currently experiencing bullying as an adult, whether in the work place or in personal life. You're not alone, and life does get so much better!
The anti-bullying/social-emotional curriculum that I get to help create is here: www.championeers.com

I got bullied all my whole life. People would always intimidate me including my bosses when I refused to be used or overworked. Threatened to be fired, people threw me under the bus. One lady wanted to get me fired at my job because she insisted that I wasn’t greeting her and respecting her as an elder. People encouraged me to apologize to her because she has the power to get me fired! Sorry but I left the job. I’m afraid to work now and I’m in school.

@Lyric-sd5tb Preach it. You are right. You do better when you can but That doesn't mean you have to lose everything and end up sleeping under a bridge....with your dignity. I have been called weak plenty of times because I kept my job until I could get another one. That made me strong. I did see a former co worker at Walmart and I ignored her. I was contacted later by another coworker for this and I simply replied "no one is paying me to talk to her". Then they tried to bully me more by saying that I was talking about a gay coworker....but it was the bullies that did it. They outted him and found his lovers Facebook. They showed everyone! When I told them that this situation made me sick, they told the guy that I said that "he" made me sick. He didn't talk to me for a year! But because God is good, the bullies slipped up and told on themselves. The guy retired and I found another job. I found a bigger bully at the new job so, I moved to a new town. The guy is my friend now and I told him everything. He needed to know. I have known him for almost 30 years and I can tell him anything to his face, not behind his back.

Experiencing bullying or being targeted at work or anywhere is a traumatic experience. The bullying has nothing to do with you personally -- it is a mechanism for them to deflect their emptiness and self-hatred. However, the pain of social isolation when others listen to the lies, and do not reject the lies, is very real. In this way bystanders participate in the bullying/mobbing.
@0_Katt_0
@0_Katt_0 Жыл бұрын
It’s hurtful how people who barely know me just instantly believe the lies and don’t even try to hear my side of the story. One woman was soooo nice to me previously randomly starting avoiding me and treating me like I klled her dog or something after she was told lies and malicious gossip by my primary bully. What must she say about me to make people react so negatively? It must be horrible. And I’ve heard the awful way she talks about past employees too

They count on you to “be the bigger person” by forgiving and moving on. Your bravery and compassion enables and empowers them to hurt more people. If you expect the system or society or karma or God to make things right, you’re ignoring the natural instinct that your emotional alarm system is guiding you to follow. Bad things happen to good people all the time and nobody bats an eye. Worse things can happen to the people who make things bad. Do two wrongs make a right? If it’s effective, then absolutely yes.

The other options are abysmal. I became an alcoholic due to bullying by other alcoholics like my dad and grandpa. They were high functioning autistics who covered it with booze like I did. Plus, I was born crippled, which is another reason why I was constantly bullied. I've always loved Jesus, however, and not so surprisingly they thought Christians were hypocrites and jerks too. Bullies are tools of Satan. Look at the Nazis or the USSR or China or WW2 Japan. They loved beating and torturing and killing people who believed in God as well.

I was severely bullied by a group of people and manager at a company I worked for, Custom Ink. It got so bad I started getting sick and I wanted to kill myself. I did not understand what and why it was happening as I was doing a great job. I then realized that I was hated out of jealousy for being happy, healthy, smart and honest and independent thinker. Usually those are the qualities that people value. I should have left when management changed, as I had a gut feeling, an intuition about a new manager who was a prick to me. But I did not. That experience broke me. and it led me to feeling like there was something wrong with me.

@@brittney3128 and please excuse me for butting in so much sorry but just wanted to Help. Theres one more thing that I have learned over the last few years that has meant more to me than anything else. Well there is a saying here that I love. "Search within for the Kingdom of God" I can't quite exactly remember how it goes but it was something like that. What does that mean?. Brittney its this. Everything that you was always looking for is within you because I have that that in me too. What I have learned is when we look inward something extraordinary happens. We sense God within we sense our own uniqueness and ever inner quality that we have. Britney when you sense that connection in you you will feel truly anchored from within in peace and love and wisdom that fills that space. Then you will not need to look outside of yourself for the answers and nothing will affect you anymore because you have found an inner strength that means to you so much more than and challenges or struggles in this world. @@datnohi8612 If you have the strength, the PTO, the sick time, or even just a smidge of love....for yourself........at least begin...to look for another job. , just so you can see what's available on the job market....and who's biting. It'll make you feel better to be proactive, gather your confidence, and give you the strength to go forward. If.... you can tough it out....under unfavorable circumstances.....of course.....stay until you are let go. Not for sissies...I can assure you. At that point....you can collect unemployment, although it won't be the equivalent of your full and former paycheck . I honestly wish temp agencies and jobs...that are temp to hire.... were in abundance. That would give those of us...who are not masochists....a fair chance to try out various workplaces to see if 'we' feel....we are a good fit....among the personalities. Pronounced bad behavior seems to rear its ugly head ...approximately 2 months into a job. It's a shame that it even exists...but it does. As I've said before...the workplace...is not for the faint-hearted. I have met a few nasties in my time. It's a shame...because it impedes learning and excelling..... as we're forced to deal with the shenanigans....rather than....the tasks at hand. I’ve worked in both a care home with the elderly and vulnerable and in a nursery with small children and trust me, the things I’ve seen...It was a definite shock when I first started. I think people are quite naive to things at first but people need to wake up and remember that this is the reality of life. People are absolutely horrible and bullying happens in every profession. Its insane

I was in a very toxic office environment. I'd be humiliated in earshot of everyone regularly for little errors, have members of the team go behind my back to try and get me in trouble with the boss for even the smallest of mistakes, get told off for things that weren't even my responsibility or fault, get spoken to like a badly behaved child, and rarely, if ever, receive any positive feedback despite all the hard work I did. It got to a point where I just hit a wall, because no matter how hard I tried, those fucks never appreciated what I did. Of course I ended up leaving, and now I've gone into teacher training. The work is so much more intense and challenging than that job, but the staff I'm around are so much more helpful and supportive and empathetic, and any criticism of me is completely constructive and I know it's said with the best of intention, as it will serve to help me improve. It's like night and day. I hope those horrible fucks are struggling without me.

This happened to me. I sent a letter to HR describing the incidents. It blew up and was brutal for a while. I prayed one morning for a mental health day because I was having trouble getting time off approved. The Lord cut off the electrical power to the whole building that morning so I didn't have to work. They sent all the employees home. That's when I was certain that God was with me in the battle. It did have an effect on my health that I still deal with years later. I developed a cancer in my throat which was ironic because of the communication issues I felt being silenced about the problem by the bullies. I recently re-read the letter I sent and all the feelings are still there though I am free of it. I honestly don't know how anyone could endure it without God because it was intense negativity and darkness in the workplace that you need him.

It's because of your looks, beauty, you are a very beautiful woman, it's because of your healthy hair, because of your confidence, elegance, fashion taste, kindness, purity, intelligence, it can be anything that makes them jealous and envious. They want to be you, have what you have but they don't. It's their own insecurities, they see you better and hate it because they are not, they see you as a threat because your light is so strong. Ignore them! It's not that hard, don't let them bother you or disturb your peace, rise above it all, you can do it with God's help! Why let their insecurities and hate affect you? They are not your friends, true friends don't belittle others. Don't care anymore about what they think about you,focus on you instead, and do small things that make you happy. They only showed you who they are. You are very sensitive and care too much about what the mean people say. Those people are not worth your time nor your tears. I know what I am talking about because I went through it and still am every day at work. They are truly mean and very evil. Its jealousy and envy. Distance yourself from such people, and if you must work with them just be very professional and show no emotion because that's what they want to see, that what they do or say affects you and then they win. God will send you a true friend, you can trust. ❤

I was bullied too when I was 19. I was working at a remote camp and my coworkers were all in their mid to late twenties. I didn't drink or smoke and I'm very shy and quiet and my coworkers took joy in bullying and isolating me. There was no escape since it was remote camp and i had to eat and sleep there. I spent all my spare time in my room watching movies and reading books. They would talk outside my door loudly about how I was a loser and saying other mean things. I'm 20 almost 21 now and I'm still scarred by the memories. I felt so lonely and wondered too if I was the only one experiencing it.

Negative energies have to meet us in workplaces to weaken us where it matters most: family, livelihood, and joy. These are Gods blessings. An enemy targets this. Also, if you have attribures such as appearance, educational background, and focus on excelling in community and goals. Some will copycat you and some will desire to get you removed from your position at work. It is NOT jealousy. It is envy because it is evil. Jealousy is a normal human enotion. Envy is a soul disease, and workplace imps and orcs(bullies) are filled with that spirit of envy. If you are a person of faith, the enemy of faith uses people as host through possession. I worked at a high school for only 3 weeks. Some teachers came full force after me during my first few weeks. They showed up at a meeting I had planned with students to laugh at me in front of the students. I resigned the next day. I told the principal what I had experienced in my first 3 weeks. I left so disappointed to see that teachers were bullies and toxic. During staff meetings no one wanted to sit next to me. Everyone would sit in the opposite side of the room. When I tried sitting next to someone, they would move to a different seat. It was awful and I had done anything to deserve that treatment. They didn't even know me. Forgot to mentioned that HR reached out to me a week after a quit to asked what happened. When I told the HR person, she confided in me that she used to be teacher but was bullied out of that job so the school district offered her a position in HR because they knew she was a good employee. I felt validated.

One day I was called fat and skinny and it was then that I just gave up caring, there was no logic behind the abuse and I looked to move jobs. It's the trying to prove yourself that's the worst you want to fight it and understand why it's happening. As I said I feel these people are truly evil, demonic even. Teachers even calling me dumb for not being smart. Now that I’m older I try to defend myself more often I definitely don’t see my family and don’t want to go to family reunions. It’s hard having adhd and learning things specially at my job. I literally cried with this video because I understand her. How much can I take? Society loves to label those who are bullied as highly sensitive people when, in fact, they are just decent human beings reacting NORMALLY to indecent behavior. It is a form of gaslighting and I am not buying that hogwash. Tip: I was able to stop a couple of bullies in their tracks at one place I worked. The basic premise: Pick out imperfections (even bullies have them), and amplify them. For example, one had a slight lisp and so I would repeat what they said only I would make the lisp more pronounced and add a little developmental delay into the mix. It was always done under my breath so only they could hear. The other one had a strange laugh so I mimicked that laugh but sounded like I was drooling at the same time. The beautiful part of all this is they were unable to report me, incredulous I was actually making fun of them to the point they would become self-conscious. It worked out so well I even got a Christmas gift from one of them that year as we had become friends (sort of). Moral of the story: You have to fight under the radar and mess with their heads just as they do but get creative and turn it up a notch. I have a current situation where I have a competitive coworker bully who wears her hair in two side buns ala Princess Leia. I was thinking about wearing my hair in three buns just to mess with her. I may have an addiction because I find myself spending my waking hours coming up with ways to drive bullies completely insane.

You are such a kind, strong and beautiful person. I am dealing with a bully at work also. This person actually treats me like I am odd because I am so nice to everyone but this is the way God made me and I will not change that for anyone. They act like it's a problem for them that I am kind to everyone. Every other person at work treats me so nice. It's just that one person that has an issue with me. She is my boss, she yelled at me yesterday as soon as we where alone together, it was over side notes. I'm a reasonable person, if there's an issue, she could have discussed it with me and I would have fixed it. It's clear to me that she doesn't respect me at all. I see now it's something that she's dealing with, within herself and she's taking it out on me. I will not be a punching bag, this morning I will let her know how this has bothered me.

I was bullied at a psychologist's office! The psychologists were okay, but the office manager was absolutely awful. Worst case of bullying at work ever. And you start to think, "what's wrong with me?", "Am I dumb?", " Am I not likable?". Etc. My manager put me down, mocked me, tried to make me feel dumb and crazy all the time. And again, I worked at a place where mental health was what we did. It's crazy. I don't know if the mental health counselors knew that she was like that, or if they just didn't care. But the manager did this not only to me but a co worker,but I was basically forced to quit. It was either stay, and keep tolerating it until my sense of self worth was damaged really bad, or quit. I did not want to quit, but it was so bad, I made the decision to leave. I have a two year old daughter that I have to support too, so, it really sucked. But I know where this stuff leads, so, I just got the courage somehow to resign. But it's sad that people like that are allowed to be managers, because people suffer when they shouldn't have to. Thanks for your video : )

Hey Brittney sorry to hear what happened to you. I am an employment lawyer. You don't have to put up with workplace harrassment. There are laws against workplace harrassment. Next time what you do is you email the person in charge of your workplace. You tell them your being bullied, and you want them to investigate and put an end to your bullying. Legally they have to take action, and put an end to the bullying. If they do nothing then you get a lawyer involved. The lawyer will be able to get you out of there with compensation. Hope that helps.

I did that. I was ignored and bullied by manager. I told HR and they did their "investigation", When you are the person the group blacklists, they don't act like that to anyone else. You are the target. I was the one who was "threatening" because I was a good employee, and attractive (which I did not realize that I could be bullied for that).... I was finally forced to quit, they gave me a petty severance, a promise of unemployment which was never paid and I'm still deeply traumatized by that. It ruined my life.

I am so sorry that you have to deal with the cruelty and stupidity of others' insecurities. May I suggest that you look for your closest Department of Vocational Rehabilitation... if you are in the U.S, you will, I believe, find offices in every state, and often in every region.. They exist under the auspice of the U.S. Dept. of Education, and they offer assistance with all kinds of work issues.. particularly when a worker has any kind of disability. Learning disabilities can be frustrating, and too often those with them are bullies (I have one, and I was pretty severely bullied through a good part of my elementary and high school years.. and this continued in college and at many of the plethora of jobs I have held. Please, check this place out.. they may be able to help with defining/addressing your LD, and then, can help with jobs. Once you are working with this dept, they oversee and can possibly protect you from some of the issues you are facing. Also,, or alternatively, seek out your local mental health center. Often, they too have separate organizations they can connect you with to help. I wish you so much good support. xo NR

I found a lot of solace in this video. I dealt with a lot of bullying where I work. It used to torment me for years. But then I took notice the patterns of the bullying taking place in my workplace. Like the bullying would be more passive aggressive and would usually happen in the context of a group. But if it's me and a single bully, nothing happens. The bully would act all professional to your face but would spread rumors, falsely accused, and make backhanded comments in the presence of other people. This goes to show that bullies are cowards. The bully would not do anything face to face but would use the power of numbers against you. Just observing the patterns of this behavior gives me clarity. I'm appalled at this behavior. I think if there's more awareness of this bullying then I hope that more people would be bold and courageous enough to do their part to stand up to stop the cycle instead of taking the path of least resistance.

Unfortunately, this is too common. I had a situation with bullying as an adult for a time. Unlike yours, it wasn't a group, just a married couple in leadership positions. There were others that they bullied during the years we worked together, so I knew it wasn't just me. That didn't make it easy, but at least it helped me see that it was a pattern with them. Like you, I had a good support system, and people who would speak truth to me throughout the situation. I learned to find my identity in God, not in what other people thought of me or said about me. Eventually, I had to realize that things weren't going to improve, and I had to move on. I agree with you about forgiveness. It's the only way to heal. Now I am much more thankful for the good, mature coworkers that I have. I wouldn't have been so appreciative of them if I didn't have the negative experiences first. And I can be grateful for the experience in some ways, because it forced me to grow and mature as a person.

Even if a person seems like the most likely suspect, I believe in never assuming or accusing but I actually heard this person. I told her off one day. I didn't care what her and her friends thought but having half the people around thinking you are weight shaming when you are not. I stayed strong and let people know they are being fed a line of bull by this woman. Yes, Jesus was falsely accused. I feel for you. Yes, jealous people will start rumors. You might benefit from what woman said about how not to let rumors get to you. Not caring too much about what people think helps. You are pretty and they probably were jealous.

I too am conquering bullying. Thank you so much for sharing your story. What the Devil has meant for our destruction; God can turn it into good. He will never never give us more than we can handle. Sometimes we don't even know what strength we have until we go through the fire of life. You have overcome and now can be a source of encouragement, healing and guidance to many persons especially students who get bullied on a daily basis where no one seems to care or understand. God has placed this ministry in your heart and I pray His strength, love, protection and faithfulness over your life and over this work that He has equipped you for. I applaud you. I stand firm in not following the evil gossips and antics in the workplace. I instead choose love and positivity and good work ethics. God is the head of my life and I guess all of that has made me a target of bullying. They hate, plot evil against me, try to overwork me and tell lies while God's strength helps me to love them in return and rely on the Great Redeemer to fight this battle for me. It hasn't always been easy but I too have turned to loving family members to remember who I am, read God's word, became a strong prayer warrior, inspirational sermons online and at church, and talked with the Holy Spirit. My testimony of bullying will be my ministry on the job to show God's love. That even though they slay me, I am serious about my commitment to God and I rebuke the Devil. My joy, peace and love for God will not be stolen by the Devil to be replaced with bitterness and revenge for those who make me their enemy. I will not be distracted and will continue my ministry in song and encouragement to others and whatever else he has in store for my hands to do. I will not be moved out of a job I love and that pays well to provide for my family until the Lord says it's time to move. I am in a season of spiritual warfare and my armor has been activated. God will get the glory and the Devil will lose again!!! The best way to deal with bullies is to love them, pray for them, serve God, and let Him deal with them. Don't let them intimidate you or see you cry. Grow closer to Christ Jesus and let Him guide you through it. It takes a real messed up person to deliberately hurt another emotionally and be a bully. And as children of God we have to pray healing over them and that they can rebuke the Devil and not allow him to continue to use them. God loves them and wants them in His kingdom. I.e. Saul and Matthew in the Bible. And they need God's love too. #Be Blessed Brittany #Stay Strong Followers of Christ #The Lord Loves You Bullies #Come to know Christ Jesus. He is there for all.

Brittney, I know how you feel dealing with workplace bullies, I too was bullied. These people are pure evil, and they are not rare. Personally, I have had to deal with it in 3 different companies. First, I had a boss who threatened physical violence against me on two occasions. He also put me into a situation where I very easily could have been killed by electrocution (which he thought was funny and told me I was wining when I spoke up). Any chance he got he would belittle me. Second, I had boss who told me I was worthless (among other things), and would give me assignments that were setup for failure. Third, I was told by a co-worker I was "too stupid to be alive." Thankfully, I was able to stop that one quickly by saying "yeah! I am probably too stupid to be alive. But, I am able to make phone calls very well... the boss... HR... it it continues an attorney". In that case, the bullying stopped immediately. The other two I had to find another job. In closing, I just want you to know you are not alone.

I'm from Canada. What is your advice? Same here being bullied, mobbed, gaslighting, harassed at the hospital for over 12 years. I've happened to be the top worker for 38 years and have never been suspended. These bullies are jealous and miserable people. Union, manager, HR and the police are all totally useless. Bullies are lazy bums and stupid managers are scared of the bullies. They say about me I'm crazy, I drink, I'm a stalker all bs defamation of character. The biggest mistake since they removed disciplinary measures. They should arrest the bullies and fire the manager. Action speaks louder than nasty words. It destroyed my reputation. I will never quit to make these lazy bums ever win. If I decide to transfer to another hospital and may start mobbing me once again, I don't know all the new managers etc. like in every department like now. So best to not change hospitals. I will never let bullies try to control me from quitting. Never let these low life lazy bums win ever win. m
