Bullying Mohg at Rune Level 1 (no hit, solo, no phase 2)

I love how Mohg can be bullied even at level 1. This is how I did it:
1) I mohg shackled him to get hits in. after his first nihil, damage him enough to make him do his 2nd nihil.
2) when he enters his 2nd nihil, do 2 charged heavy attacks. you need to do enough damage so that his hp is roughly at the 55% mark
3) When his nihil animation is over,pray he does a move that lets you perform your 3 charged heavy OR do a jump attack. You should stagger him.
4) at this point you can either attack him or riposte him. I saw in other videos that you can do 2 l1 attacks and when slowly gets up, you can Mohg shackle him. I thought you could do that after a riposte too, turns out I'm wrong as you can see.
5) then run in to finish him off. I made it in the nick of time
my build:
rune level 1
+10 Dragonscale blade
+25 Cold Uchigatana cragsblade
talismans
1) red feathered branchsword
2) Millicent prosthesis
3) radagon soreseal
4) blue dancer charm
Crystal tear:
dex knot & thorny
cast buffs:
1) golden vow
2) Bloodboil aromatic

You know, I know Maliketh holds the reputation of being the "glass cannon" of Elden Ring bosses due to his low poise and health pool, but having the ability to hit extremely hard, however, I'm beginning to think that logic does apply to Mohg to a certain extent. If the player has a strategy to deny Mohg his Nihil or 2nd phase, he can be turned into an absolute punching bag.

I thought I would have to finally learn Mohg's moves in phase 2. Turns out I still don't need too. I haven't seen phase 2 since my first playthrough 🤣🤣🤣

@@daddywhogames Hahaha fair. I mean, in my experience, his 2nd phase moveset is kind of akin to Lady Maria where it is mostly just an augmented variation of his earlier phase where all of his swings spew blood (Maria Bloodflame flashbacks), he gets his aerial swing and his blood tax swing gets a new spin at the end.

@@ironstark917 Yeah, but it still changes very drastically due to the way in which his combos are structured 0:04 and because 80% of his combos will use something out of the new moveset. The flying swing is seen very often for example.

@@Sinhsseax That's a fair assessment. Haha. Elden Ring bosses really are something in terms of AI programming. Though I'm pretty good at fighting them, I would not claim to know them perfectly; I just fight them.

Fun to see the comments talking about how easy Mohg is to just melt before phase two And there I was with my Strength/longsword knight hitting Mohg with the equivalent of a toothpick, doing petty damage Really fun fight actually

Dual wield them, use rotten winged signia and thorny tear. You will definitely be able to do it hehe

@@daddywhogames don't doubt it! But I just don't really make my builds that way I'll try it out on my next build, gonna try a Carian slicer spammer when I get the chance in 30 years (studying far from home)

The description says it. Cold affinity Uchigatana with the Weapon Skill Cragblade. Because status procs are powerful. Stance breaking is powerful. Both? Unstoppable.

@@Yzzlthtz same! I'm glad I ignored it then. The ash of war went through a decent buff , making it a monster now. I think in the past the ash of war only lasted 20secs 🤣
