This video is what eventually convinced me to buy this bass 2 years ago and it has been my main gigging bass ever since. Excellent video demonstrating this awesome bass.

Do you think it'd be a better option for someone who plays worship, rock, jazz, and metal?
@rle440 Жыл бұрын
@@anotakudetective1546 in my honest opinion, I think that you can make any bass sound good in any style based on what you are playing through and your settings. Based on the styles that you mentioned, it could handle them all. There may be better options out there for certain types of jazz or really technical metal but the P bass can still handle it. I play rock, blues, and country with different bands and it works great for those styles. If I remember correctly, the intro music on this video is that 5 string P bass.

Here we go! This entire series was well done IMO. Fender got it right for sure. Reminds me of their Player series with an extraordinary USA hardware and electronics. The real deal and so glad you got your hands on one to get a review out. Didn’t even know a a five string P Bass was a thing. This was the most mellow tone I’ve ever heard. Killer demo! I’m going to say the whole jam sounded legit. I’m a fan of Fenders, glad this one made a good impression.

12:17 'I have a Fender...wow!' That reminds me of my reaction to my Fender Stratocaster Special after I brought it home playing it for the first time after buying it brand new in 1996... and I'm still wowing over it especially with the upgrades i've done to it almost 25 years later; anyhoo the name Precision itself literally speaks volumes but the tone at 50% really got it goin on although it gets plenty brightness as well. The neck's a maple cap anytime there's no skunk stripe on the back which would otherwise make it a solid maple neck. I looked up the specs of this beautifully sounding bass and the body's alder and the color's Miami Blue.

9:37 You backed off just a little bit but it was still bright. You slid from that tasty meaty slapping right to the fingerstyle without hitting the knobs again. The tone really is in your hands. You sounded like you, and the bass let you be you. There isn't much more that you could ask of a bass. BTW I see you still reppin' the shield. GOMAB.

This sounds amazing especially for a modern day Fender P Bass . Back in the mid 90s you could get an amazing sound Mexican and or Japanese Fender P Bass for about 300 to 370 . Nowadays it seems only their top shelf p basses have a good sound . This is definitely one of the good basses right here .

For so long I bagged on Apple and Fender. About a year ago I bought an iPhone, and now I’m GASing for a Fender P bass so hard it is insane. It’s like I don’t even know who I am anymore. Who cares though, right!? Bc that bass sounds phenomenal. I have a Yamaha BB series pj, and I love it, but it just doesn’t quite get that p bass tone I’m wanting.... almost, but not quite. Great Fender P sound, I've never owned a 5 stringer but I want one for gigging. Trying to decide what to get. Spector, Fender J or P. Usually, I leave my tone open but your use of tone is a great example of when to dial it down, seems like a very bright bass or maybe new flats? Good grooves B.

I like your groove Bully, Fender Basses are really the top of the line, more so than there electric guitars. I own a squier 5 contemporary bass and a shite MIM jazz 4 string. I can’t find any reason to change anything with it any of them. I really enjoyed the plucking at 50% and slapping at 💯%. I suppose tone is dependent on taste and genre ?

Aye yo!!! I forgot to ask you, are you going to be getting any of the new Sire basses that came out? If you have the connection, I think it would be awesome if you reviewed the V5, P10, V10, as well as the M7 six string. I know you have big hands and might not have a use for it but the U5 short scale bass looks awesome and I'd love to see you do a review of that as well. I have large hands but I bought an Ibanez mikro and love using that to practice. Some of the small/light basses are fun and have a really cool tone. Just wanted to throw this out there!
