the Duke 390 is a very difficult bike to compare with any other bike..... because it's so weirdly made to be everything a medium powered bike should be, it's really hard to categorize it... it beats pretty much all the bikes in the range of 300's, and just a notch down below the sport touring 600s.. .hard to categorize it, the flaws are very obvious, uncomfortable during long rides, touch suspension setup which is really hard for Indian roads, and heating issues in traffic..... but keep In mind this is a machine that's very fast in its class, that makes Indian high way riding look kiddish..... people who want power in a quarter leter bike, don't look past the 390

Sir Good review and comparison ruled out all doubts, just Two Questions: 1. In concluding sentence where the reviewer was saying which one is better (10:19)- it was pointed out that in daily traffic conditions Duke 390 is good - but previously it was reported that Duke gets very hot in traffic conditions and Dominar do not get hot in traffic conditions. So, would not it will be wise to opt for Dominor 400 instead of duke 390 for commuting in traffic conditions ?? 2. The tank of Dominar 400 is made of plastic (or fiber), how good is it from the Bikes which has the tank made of steel eg. Honda Unicorn, shine, bajaj pulsar etc. And is it wise to get Dominar 400 in this year or one should wait for future versions to come in next year ie 2018.?

Why so brother? I am asking because I am in a similar dilemma... I mean, there could be newer model of dominar in 2018 (unlikely) or there could be a new pulsar 400 launched with Dohc engine as against dominar's Sohc engine and hence more powerful and smoother and slightly more expensive. Or there could be dominar competitors from honda or suzuki or yamaha. Heck, I am just as confused.

Although I'm planning for dominar, but I feel I'll be missing a lot of things in dominar like gear shift indicator , distance to empty is very very important which is again not available in dominar , lastly is the engine temperature display on the instrument console , these are really very important in a bike n yet dominar don't have these , may be they would release on the next release

I don't understand why should someone go for duke 390 when the dominar is available, dominar is a better tourer, looks better than the duke, cheap maintenance, and ultimately less expensive. The only reason for someone to go for a duke 390 is the brand name or maybe the performance. Well its just my opinion. I am tourer and i would pick the dominar anyday over duke 390.

Always best to go with the top 4 manufacturers, Bajaj has a bad reputation for its reliability. The KTM would be better out of the two BY FAR! Honda will keep you out of the repair shop for 10 years minimum. I see a bias in this video. Can you spot where?
