When I was in high school, guest artist Earl Hoffman played this piece on trombone. We’d rehearsed the accompaniment but when it came time to play it with Hoffman, he wanted it to be about twice as fast as we’d practiced it. Everyone was out of breath when it was over but man, was it impressive.

GREAT!! I was old enough to really get the B. Bumble version when it came out. The Freddy Martin version from the early 40's is better technically, but the Bumble version has life. Your version is the best of both. Keep it coming.

Wonderful performance! How can these listeners just watch and stay so quiet and like frozen statues on their seats ? They look like mummies.. When you listen to this kind of music, you just cannot remain so... "still" !! Not a single move ... Are they deaf or already dead?
@bennusmagnus52774 жыл бұрын
If you pay attention to the audience, you'll see that some of them are moving to the rhythm.The white haired guy in the front row was even tapping his hands to the beat. They probably just wanted to be polite.
