To answer Orhan's question about female bees, yes, the queen is obviously female, but all the worker bees are, too. The male bees are only in the hive to mate with the queen, and are kicked out when winter comes. Great cake, BTW! =D

Bee facts! Time to do some science! Bumblebees have significantly smaller societies than honeybees do (bumblebees create nests, honeybees create large hives), and they are (in fact) completely different species (though there are many varieties of each one). Bumblebee nests are often in the ground or in holes and are not honey producers (they only make enough for self-consumption). The body shape of the two are also distinctly different, with the honeybee having a distinct head and two sets of wings (one bigger and one smaller) while the bumblebee have a round appearance with little distinction between the head and the body and only one set of wings. The queen is also the only bumble to survive the winter. Male bees of both types do not live very long and only live long enough to reproduce, queens can actually continue reproducing for a month or longer after contact with a drone so male bees are only necessary once in a while. Both species have stingers, but the honey bee has barbed stingers, resulting in the stinger being ripped from their body and killing them (though certain species like the infamous african bees can actually sting multiple times before dying); the bumblebee has a smooth stinger and thus does not usually lose it's stinger, but they do not swarm and refrain from stinging as a whole. Both species are pollinators, with the bumblebee generally being more efficient, and are also both keystone species in their respective ecosystems. This means that the loss of any kind of bee can drastically destroy ecosystems so save the bees! Plant flowers to help provide habitat for our bumbling fellows (that really only want to make honey/pollinate) and if you see a sluggish bumblebee or honeybee, feed them some simple syrup (yes the same Yo uses for the cakes) to give them some quick energy to make it back to their nest/hive. Based on these facts, Yo actually made a female honeybee based on the wings and body structure (honeybee drones do not have a stinger). Honeybees still deserve love, so even though it isn't a fuzzy bumblebee, the cake is still tasty and honeybees are still just as good as bumblebees!
