Very refreshing to see someone finally let go of the past and acknowledge Megatron will never officially be a gun a gun again. While I get the 80s nostalgia of it my appreciation for Megatron only really began during the G2 era where he was given a transforming alt mode that actually made sense for his character. Heck Galvatron was even cooler in his design with his treaded space death canon mode which was finally done justice with the Kingdom/Legacy release. SS Megatron is a spectacular release and probably the best iteration for a movieverse version however for a G1 release the Earthrise Voyager by Takara is probably the best contender. Ignore the backpack, and with the premium paint bucket head he's I think as good as it will get until they figure out what to do with the SS86 next year. As far as Optimus goes probably will never go for a 3rd party release but Hasbro could already fix a lot of problems if they'd quit budgeting Optimus at a Voyager price point. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for as either AOE or TLK Optimus is getting a Leader release next year.

I can not wait to see what SS86 Megatron looks like! Getting a bit sick of the Siege mold being used again and again. Can't believe we're also getting a SS86 Galvatron, as the Kingdom/Legacy one is already smashing. Really hope future Optimi have more budget than SS102 was allocated. It's shite that folk have to go third party for the best version of the figure. Would much rather give my money to Hasbro, but the upgades and accessories with Supreme Commander were just too good. I don't like the look of this Megatron myself, but the Prime is nice. Rise of the Beasts gave us the best design for Optimus in live action . 👍

Yeah, the Optimus design is pretty perfect! Megatron is sooooo good, though! He's pretty much perfect for a movieverse design. The g1 aesthetic will always be my favourite, but think Concept Megatron truly is a special fella. If SS86 Megatron is half as good, I'll be very happy! Thank you for watching, my friend!
