Krista Moser has designed a garden of blocks that will bloom into the Bumblebee Blossoms quilt! Using her Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond Ruler, see how these blocks come together with no Y-seams and only simple straight piecing.
Meet the Mini 60 Degree Diamond Ruler! It has all of the great features of the original 60 degree Diamond Ruler (CGR60DIA) but in a smaller, easier to manipulate size for smaller projects! The mini cuts 60 degree diamonds up to 4 1/2 inches; hexies up to 4-1/2 inches; and 60 degree triangles up to 4-1/2 inches. Maximize the design potential by cutting them from strip sets. It comes with fully illustrated step by step instructions or scan the QR Code printed on the instructions to view a video demonstration.
The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, the exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts! Ruler is 8-1/2in x 5-1/4in. Creative Grids® products are made in the USA.

Hello Jenny! When cutting the strips you want some dark some medium and some light. The way the fabric is when you cut your first strip is it will be dark, then the next one will be medium then the last will be light, then it will start with medium and go to dark again.

Hello Krista. Please will U help me. I purchased the Bumble bee Kit. Unfortunately I don't have the awesome skills you have as a Quilting Perfectionist and have ruined my Ombre Yellow Fabric by not cutting selvage to salvage and I have ruined the black fabric cutting with a dull blade an have to much fraying. I want to purchase these two fabrics from the kit but can't seem to find it separate from kit. Do you know how I can get just these two fabrics? Also is it best get fabric good and stiff with a starch or Best Press before cutting?

I’m currently cutting for the ladybug blossoms quilt. In the instructions it doesn’t mention taking all corner edges off. It mentions it for one or two edges in a triangle or trapezoid. Should I do that for all corner edges?

Love this quilt pattern. Pity Krista didn’t show how this can be done with the original larger diamond ruler, which has lines for 1 1/2, 2 1/2. 3 1/2, etc markings, no full inch markings. Wonder if this was deliberate to make you buy both rulers :(
