Thank you for showing how to use 60° diamond ruler. I have been intending to get a triangle but will definitely go with this diamond. The table topper is beautiful.

love the pattern, i was wondering if instead of Y seams could you just cut the white set in triangle shape and cut it in half and sew it to the top of the strip set and then there would be a centered seam in the white triangle part?

I know someone asked about the white marker, but you directed them to the Chaco marker, and not the white marker PEN you were using in the video...What is that called, and where can you buy them? I'm always looking for something like that, and can never find one...This came out beautiful...Thank you for the Tutorial!

Could you please demonstrate how to do the binding on this project?
@ShabbyFabrics3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jodi! Make sure you grab the free download pattern here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/78/how-to-use-the-60o-diamond-ruler-to-make-a-table-topper We do highly recommend the Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond ruler to go along with this project. While we do not have a video detailing the binding for this project, you can read the instructions for the binding on the download to help, and we can let you know that we e mitered the corners exactly like we would miter corners on a quilt, making sure we stopped 1/4" before we got to the edge of the topper. We folded the binding up and back down then started sewing 1/4" in from the edge. The angle is 120 degrees, the same as the setting triangles. Hope this helps!! -Michelle

We do have measurements available on the Free Download here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/78/how-to-use-the-60o-diamond-ruler-to-make-a-table-topper , but this project was designed for use with the Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond Ruler. Hope that makes sense! 💖 -Michelle

@@ShabbyFabrics Thank you for responding! Yes, it makes sense and I can see how a special ruler would make sure of success in cutting. So much easier too!

Hi, could you tell me what the seam allowance is for when you sewed the strips together? I bought the kit and could not see in the instructions what the seam allowance for this was, so I just assumed it would be a standard 1/4" allowance. When I sewed the strips together like this, it turned out a lot smaller than yours. Is this allowance wrong? Thanks.
@ShabbyFabrics3 жыл бұрын
@Jenna Are you referring to sewing the 6 strips together at the beginning of the project? If so, it is a quarter inch seam allowance. -Michelle
