I say to hell with those two SJW engines. What right do they have to just muscle into the main cast? The fact that those two are being given more attention over emily in fan made thomas content (with appearances and even parts to do in the story in a fan made episode) is hypocritical. People give emily so much flack for "replacing" duck (even though he was never an official main character like the main 7 engines people just thought he was the main character because of numeric order) yet no one bats an eye on the two SJW engines for replacing two classic engines who started the railway series books.

AutZentus Actually, there are people who still have an issue with this. It’s just that some people have decided to give Nia and Rebecca the benefit of the doubt and utilize them in stories. Regardless of replacing Edward and Henry, I prefer when people acknowledge that all four can co-exist, rather than be close-minded and be blinded by nostalgia and view this as a crime against humanity. As for Emily, as much as I like her, she’s essentially become the “Edward” of the Steam Team. Having the least amount of roles from the characters in Tidmouth Sheds and it’s understandable. She's just a nice character who wants more activity (as seen in the episode Rangers of the Rails). Essentially a character that seems to fit better in secondary roles, kinda like Edward.

It's not nostalgia about it's being true to what was just fine since the 1980's (when the tv series started) and not needing to fix something that was never broken. Also people would acknowledge that all four could co-exist IF Nia and Rebecca were never created to be SJW tokens to replace two important characters that brought the railway series into television in the first place. Seriously why does there need to be a certain number of central main characters and why to they have to cherry pick. Frankly if mattel had just left edward and henry alone nobody would be talking about this crap. But of course like all big company they need to get woke just to shut those stupid whiny soccer moms up about how "theres not enough wahmens". As for emily it wouldn't hurt them to actually try to give her more central parts instead of secondary parts. If they want to give attention to female character than give emily a purpose instead of just being there for the sake of being there.

AutZentus Except there are people who aren’t (mercifully) blinded by rage who can see Nia and Rebecca as characters and use them as characters. Edward and Henry are still part of the series regardless and they aren’t going anywhere soon and I’d personally rather not be deluded with the mentality that they are. I’m pretty sure that the writers and even the people at Mattel know that it’d be a risky move to remove them from the series entirely, hence why they only removed them from the Steam Team, but not the series as a whole. Like I said, Emily’s just a nice character nowadays, with occasional moments of self doubt. There really isn’t a whole lot you can do with that, unless you bring in some of her personality from series 8-12.
